Why Euthanasia Should Be Legalized
Jessica Ross                Tiffany McDonaldEnglish 111-Writing and InquiryMay 6, 2016Why Euthanasia Should Be Legalized        Euthanasia, is defined as, ended the life (killing) of a person who is in pain and is suffering from an incurable disease. Over time, it has been one of the largest debated issue. Whether euthanasia should be legalized or shouldn’t. Personally, I do believe it should be legalized if the person who is sick, chooses to end his/her own suffering. I have three reasons for why I believe this way.        The first of reason is, euthanasia preserves funds and resources. The amount of funds for health care across the world in each country, and the number of beds, rooms, and doctors in each hospital are limited. It is humongous waste if we utilize those funds and resources to extend the lives of those who have an incurable disease and opt ate to die themselves, rather than preserving the lives of the ones with a curable ailment. If we put those to death, who are in pain and suffering from an incurable disease that ask for euthanasia, then the waiting period for each hospital will shrink. Then, the health care funds, the hospital beds, hospital rooms, and the energy of the doctors can be utilized on the ones who can be treated, and can get back to mundane and able to perpetuate contributing to the society. Is this not a better way of utilizing funds and resources rather than unnaturally elongate those incurable people’s lives?        Secondly, to countless people, quality of life is more paramount than the length of the life. The people who request euthanasia are going through intolerable pain that if someone has never gone through it, they wouldn’t understand. The bystanders are sure it is better to live, but the patients themselves optically discern death as a way to culminate their intolerable pain and to give them placidity. I believe that it is just a matter of time afore those patients die of sickness, and it is unnecessary to coerce those humans to live longer. I believe it is best to culminate the lives of those in pain, rather than endeavoring to make their lives full of pain and suffering, and to feel the torture longer than need be.
