She wanted to be included in all ages that she was around. They wanted to be loved and help when it was needed. With her father being a leader it helped Jane become a leader also following some of her father footsteps.

PollyThe death of her mother’s nurse. Polly was Jane first real experience with death. Polly referred to Jane as Sarah which is Polly mother whom died while Jane was young. Leading to Polly’s death, Jane not only experienced a loss but taking care of someone else needs.

The mill was in a neighborhood next to one of the poorest quarters Jane had ever seen. This was her first sight at what true poverty looked like. She understood that they were less fortunate than her and she could not seem to understand why they lived that way. The houses were so small and crammed together which started to concern Jane. She slowly began to feel compassionate for the people

Jane was appalled when she was offered a bribe due to a statement a person made to her father. She has never taken a bribe before. Jane did not accept the bribe.

Lincoln’s attitude that the common people are the contributions of the moral lives.Jane resisted because the ways missionary was presented to her did not catch her emotionally. One reason her father did not teach her beliefs, but his morals and honor was instilled in Jane. It gave Jane the insight so she could teach women in other fields such as math to help her lead women’s progress forward. Jane ideas gave women power to educate and aid other people they may run into. She made the Hull House a better resource facility. She thought that living with the poor people would better understand them and their ways. Lincoln’s social philosophy is a complex. It is divided into two major categories in the literature. Women are defined by the idea of free, non-violent freedom of self. They are considered not property. A society in which women’s rights are universal is not an unassailable proposition. In fact, in order to be free people are given the right to do whatever they want with this rights.”Jane’’s political system is what keeps her within an ethical and community structure that protects the dignity and rights of all people. There are women in both institutions but they form a dynamic. She does not see a world in which she has no influence and can make decisions that reflect her values. As an outsider I find that Jane has become a more complex person, trying to understand and appreciate the needs of her people. The moral and ethical challenges of life and work, as well as dealing with the negative stigma and emotional pressures of a “northern man” who thinks everything to women. One’s own experience makes her a better person. Her experiences with women make me want to think about what her family has done for her.The experience has led to change with us all. I was reminded in a previous post the amazing things you do when you make a change. If Jane becomes her best friend I am excited. Please go help bring her peace and joy. In the coming months Jane’s a great opportunity to get to know women in another way. The way we deal with social injustice is a special privilege and something I have to offer her. The people here help us become better. ____________________
1st, in April of 2009, our first year of college, we found ourselves in the midst of a great change. All of our social groups became social places. We became the place for girls to play ball and other activities. We had to find new ways of raising money with our students. We were surprised with how many times these activities were not in the classrooms as they were at home. People said it became a very, very important place where they could meet, speak and talk about how they felt. My brother and sister came around during that period saying that all of their social activities were for men. This has changed my life. I began to come to realize that the idea of being a “social girl” is a concept that just wasn’t true as it has no place in feminist thought. However, as I got older we began to think that people and their choices should all be the same, because women are not supposed to be forced to either. Now when one woman is pregnant and is allowed to share the house she is not supposed to feel that alone. In fact, many women want to feel like they belong and have to share the house in order to feel appreciated. In our conversations with people and learning about social change everyone seems to agree that what we have been working on for nearly two years has been great work and that women are still doing so much to create an environment where we can connect and care for each other. I know we are coming together but we want your help.
