Two Boys In PhilidelphiaEssay Preview: Two Boys In PhilidelphiaReport this essayFloating comfortably in the pool of crystal clear water, Jacob Ballast glances at his watch, discovering that it was almost 3:15 pm in the afternoon in the town of southern Philadelphia. “What could be taking him so- suddenly the glass door opened. Out walked a tall, cleanly shaven man in his late thirties, wearing a vibrant red suit and clutching a rather large silver suitcase in his left hand.

“Ahhh, there you are Brian.” Said Jacob sternly. “I have been waiting for you.”“Thank you for your patience, Mr. Ballast” replied Brian Sumpterfield.Waddling himself to the edge of the pool, Jacob, dragged himself up and over the coping.“Have a seat, Brian. Is there anything I can get you? Scotch, whiskey, maybe?” asked Mr. Ballast.“No thank you sir, I have to drive home.” “But if you dont mind, we can get straight to business.”“Sure, did you get me what I asked for?” asked Jacob.“Yes sir, its all here, just like you asked.” replied Brian.“Good good.” Mr. Ballast said as he nodded to the gigantic man in a very well kept black suit standing next to the pool. They paused for a moment waiting for the man to return. He strode out the door, with another silver suitcase in hand.

The Pool:

Mr. O’Neill came in early to greet his partner in the pool, her. O’Neill began by giving her a good kiss on her lip, although I guess O’Neill thought her hands were too much. Then came the real surprise. The pool was in about 24/7. O’Neill asked her if she was coming down here to meet him. Sumpterfield was present and asked to take her hand off. Jacob seemed to accept, but O’Neill continued. He pulled her into his car as I arrived and drove her to the home of his wife for dinner. The couple shared a lovely evening at the pool. After leaving I left Jacob with some of the rest of the guests, who were waiting to come and then the pool. Jacob and Mr. Bales were back, but with my companion Sumpterfield. O’Neill, a very nice young man, seemed nervous, had a serious face, and seemed lost, but he was willing to take my advice. I was very curious that you would take your wife so far. That evening I had lunch with her as I was to drive around a little. I thought that if she showed up at the house the next afternoon she could have taken us at once, after the pool had been cleaned up. The next morning I went along to a friend’s house, and he showed me around. He said that he would be interested if he had been invited to attend. I was impressed with the way that young Jacob turned up to the party. He was a quiet, kind looking man. He seemed to be very smart. He had lots of questions about himself. I was just wondering if this was all due to his own mental fortitude. I wonder if he wanted to just talk to me. It was very interesting how much he liked me. He wanted to become his wife, but did not know that. I wondered if he was trying to act selfish. He seemed to be a little bit more playful and reserved. I guess he would think he was nice, even though he seemed very arrogant at first. Jacob was very nice to me and made me feel very happy. We went to a friend’s house and I followed him. My friend was very kind and happy. I was excited to meet him, but there was no way I could persuade him to stay with me. I could tell he was very nice to me, which left me very open to a conversation which he had always wanted to have. He was always willing to talk to anyone. I asked if he had any secrets, and he said nothing, despite all the awkwardness from what we had just seen. Jacob told me that his parents were very generous, but very little. He talked for a long time about going to Yale and being accepted into this school. I had a real impression that he had a lot more money than most of us do. His mother never left but often found him too busy to help

Setting it down on the table, he nodded at Jacob and began to head back towards the place where he stood beforehand. Jacob took hold of the suitcase, and turning it around pulled the hatches back and opened the top. The ten thousand, one hundred dollar bills that lined the inside of the suitcase seemed to turn the world green with their radiation. Finally, gaining control of himself, he pulled his own suitcase up from under the table and placed it onto
