Motivation Program Proposal
Feldman (2013) stated, “Intrinsic motivation causes us to participate in an activity for our own enjoyment rather than for any concrete, tangible reward that it will bring us” (p.257). In my case this would be something such as playing with my kids or dancing in my Zumba classes. Feldman (2013) stated, “In contrast, extrinsic motivation causes us to do something for money, a grade, or some other concrete, tangible reward” (p.257). In my case this would be something such as my current job, taking a test or something that I needed to do but didn’t necessarily want to do. There are many cases that both of these can be used to motivate people at the same time. The program that I would plan to motivate people would be both intrinsic and extrinsic.

The motivational plan would be for people at work. By using both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation my goal would be to make money, make the employees money, and make the company money and for everyone to feel happy, excited and worthwhile in the process. I would also plan to make this a learning experience that everyone could take with them on into the future of their careers. Everyone that works with us enjoys coming to work. We are all friends because we have grown up together or known each other for a very long time. While we are doing this to make money we also enjoy doing it simply for the fun we have together. There are very few serious moments because everyone does their part. This makes everything flow together in a functional manor.
