How Do the New Set of Net Neutrality Rules Impact Telecommunications CompaniesEssay Preview: How Do the New Set of Net Neutrality Rules Impact Telecommunications CompaniesReport this essayNet NeutralityRecently, Net Neutrality has been a topic of concern among many people since internet is supposed to be provided equally among end users. It should be free from discrimination which is mainly caused by some broadband providers blocking lawful sites for their own gains. The issue is further aggravated by the fact that the broadband providers do not disclose their performances; network management practices (FCC 2). Even though Net Neutrality has shortcomings, its benefits far much outweigh its disadvantages, for instance, it leads to increased investments, innovations, competition, transparency, open internet access as well as providing a level playing field among the internet service providers.

Several rules were formulated as a result of unfair competition among the internet service providers. Transparency is one among the rules that was formulated; the rule states that any person who provides broadband services must disclose publicly precise information concerning his performance, network management practices as well as the regulations regarding the broadband services. Secondly, the rule prohibits blocking of lawful websites and applications, for instance, video or voice telephony services. Thirdly, the rule helps to stop unreasonable discrimination in transmission of lawful network traffic.

Formation of tiered service, broadband service providers were now allowed to charge extra cost based on the amount of bandwidth consumed. Specialized services were also permitted, for instance, Internet protocol television (IPTV) video services such as (voice-over-Internet protocol) VoIP services or AT&Ts (FCC 124). All the five mentioned rules above help to safeguard liberated access to the internet.

First of all, as result of a level playing field among the internet service providers there are chances of increased competition. This will lead to opening up of the communication business hence more stiff competition from various sectors. Companies are more likely to adjust their business plans so that they can continue to be competitive. There is also a likelihood that future wireless broadband providers will comprise of companies which have strong network which is able to carry data. Consequently, new entrants are likely to be short of access to vital property for wireless broadband thus they will be locked out (Raja & Singh 11).

Secondly, transparency will be enhanced among the internet service providers. For instance, disclosure of information will help to keep in check that internet service users are able to make better choices concerning buying and use of the different types of broadband services (FCC 32). As mentioned before this will help to make sure that the number of broadband providers reduces significantly. Since internet users will have gained confidence in some of the service providers, it will result in increased venturing in internet infrastructures as a consequence of increased revenue. Thirdly, increased transparency will help in the provision of relevant information especially among upcoming internet services. This will result in proper planning before

The fifth and still biggest issue of internet data will be privacy. In the past few years various digital currencies have taken part in the online payments, with an increasing amount of data being distributed to various digital currencies.

The blockchain will be an essential platform for creating and using these cryptocurrency currencies

According to the blockchain the public ledger will be used to create and use digital currencies in real and virtual currencies such as bitcoin and ethereum. In particular, we expect that the public ledger will provide a decentralized storage of digital cash and any type of asset. As stated earlier, digital money could be issued by exchanges and the public ledger will also hold digital currencies that are currently accepted in markets such as the US market with the possibility of issuing such currencies in a future to-do list.

The fifth and still biggest issue of internet data will be privacy. In the last few years various electronic currencies have taken part in the online payments, and the Internet will be an integral aspect of such financial transactions.

Bitcoin will be the first such currency with a distributed ledger. The first digital currency that will be supported by the blockchain is Bitcoin. Bitcoin has a decentralised history that is not a centralized currency, but is a distributed payment system which enables all parties to control the flow between computers with an encrypted computer key and a trusted public blockchain where all transactions are recorded.

In fact many other other digital currencies will be able to join the blockchain. We also expect that some of these cryptocurrencies will be able to provide blockchain-like security similar to ethereum, blockchain token and blockchain digital stock, with no need to obtain a special encryption used for most platforms.

We expect that the Blockchain will provide increased transparency and also the best ways to manage the transfer between computers

As mentioned before, the Blockchain will use blockchain technology to store the financial data of all funds. Therefore the privacy policy for any digital currency is expected to be to prevent transfers between public and private systems using private keys. This also means all digital currencies should be subject to this policy. Blockchain technology will help the blockchain as the digital currency is stored in such a way as to minimise the risks posed by data transfer.

For all of the above reasons we expect the government to adopt a policy to introduce new and innovative rules and regulations. We expect the government to introduce new standards as the digital currency will also be used for storing and processing payments on the internet.

And as many of you have already noticed with internet access, we are extremely optimistic that the internet will become more and more well equipped with digital currency. Blockchain technology is yet to fully come to fruition, with many more innovations to arrive in the space.
