What was not?AnswerApart from increasing the effectiveness of the concerned department, there were other three primary objectives of Assaad’s approach which were equity, accountability, and ownership centric. The emergency department of the hospital was functioning in a crisis. management mode because of there was an internal resistance among the management of the organization towards new policies and procedures which led to a limited focus within the organization. The organization did not have any specific vision or goal.Haj-Assaad came with an approach which defined a specific vision of the organization and further segregated the organizations into 6 councils for paving a way to decrease the internal resistance and enhanced the decision making capability within the organization. His approach was a success as the new structure made the organization more collaborative and adaptive in comparison to its previous position which was more competitive and rigid.Ques 2. What do you think of the new governance model?Answer The new governance model consisted of 6 councils namely: Policy And Practice, Education, Research, Human Resource, Scheduling, Social, Quality, and Ethics which further had employees from the respective departments and headed by front-line managers.Due to this segregation, each department was able to utilize the organizational resources more efficiently.  Despite competing with each other which further reduces the internal resistance of the organization towards new policies and procedures. Thus, resulting in the homogenization of the entire organization.
