An Emarati businessman last year came to The US seeking medical treatment; however, he found the police waiting for him outside the hotel and the only reason for that was “wearing Arabic clothes and speaking Arabic on phone” which make some people thinking that he is a terrorist who carries bomb, so they called 911. People are being influenced by news, movies, and how social media presents Islam. A study last year showed that for the past twenty-five years, Islam and Muslims, in the New York Times, were more negative than cancer, only eight percent of the news about Islam carried positive news about Islam, and this is how people build their thoughts. The film American Sniper also empowered the hate and fear people carry towards Islam. In the film, Iraqis, even women and children, are devoid of humanity. All of these examples and more are showing how people build their assumptions based on how others want them to see the world.

In my opinion, Islamophobia has been fed to people both directly and indirectly, so the hate people carry towards Islam has increased continually. Logically, are Arabic clothes and language reliable and convincing reasons to judge people whether they are terrorists or not? People should see the reality in their eyes not others eyes and believes. Besides, living in a country that call for freedom should grant people living equally and peacefully.
