Infant mortality is a one of problem for developing country and political leader should more focus on it. Infant mortality is the death of young children under the age of 1. This death toll is measured by the infant mortality rate (IMR), which is the number of deaths of children less than one year of age per 1000 live births. One of research shows that 99% infant death happen in developing country. Main reason is pre-mature birth, infection, complication during delivery etc.In India infant mortality rate is 34 per 1000 child in 2017. India match world infant mortality in 2017 before that is always high as compared to world average. One question always arise why india and other developing country has high infant mortality rate or child die under the age of one year. reasons is in India so many people live in under poverty line. They hardly satisfied a basic need like food clothe and shelter, so they cannot afford the costly Medicare service.
Other reasons is poor mother cannot get proper and enough nutrition during pregnancy time. So, new baby born in poor family they face a health problem and its create a burden on government medical facility.Gender favoritism is also affect on the infant mortality rate on any country.What are the affect on country?Infant mortality rate will affect on government health care sector even government try to spend more money to reduced mortality rate in country so they cut down or postpone some other future development project.Many developing country like India and other Asian country have lake of affordable and personal health care resources so government try to purchase or lease form developing country and its affect country currency value and economy. What should political leader do?Political leader should provide medical facility to every pregnant woman Political leader(health minister) should change in government medical and health care policy like government hospital maintain a record of pregnant woman also provide a free check up so every woman use to government service free of cost.
