4) The Industrial Revolution had taken place in Great Britain before any other European country for many important reasons. Great Britain had an enormous abundant supply of natural, economic and cultural resources. They had an ample supply of coal, which enabled the British to use coal instead of wood to make iron. This new iron was used to build machines engines, railway tracks and new agricultural tools. In addition, they used steam engines for mining coal which became a popular job within urban areas. Another condition of the Revolution existed in Great Britain first was their climate, which made them superior in agriculture production. The effects of their strong control over the shipping lanes in the ocean resulted in a strong trade empire and substantial supply of available capital. A few other important things were vital to this revolution in Great Britain was the introduction of the first modern railway in 1825 and the first large scale machines for weaving cloths.

After 1815 four radical ideologies originating during the French Revolution began to develop systematically: liberalism, nationalism, socialism and romanticism; a fifth ideology, developed for centuries before the French Revolution, took a clearer shape during the time of Metternich: conservatism. Discuss the central ideas, major expounders and supporters, and the specific goals of each.

Conservatism: An emphasis on order, discipline, and tradition.
Liberalism: The core was commitment to individual liberties or rights. It was made up of three components it called for equality before the law, which meant ending traditional privileges and the restriction of power of rank and hereditary authority. Held that government needed to be based on political rights and the consent of being governed.In economics liberals believed that individuals should be free to engage to economic activities without interference from the state or their community.
