Sociological Imagination
Sociological Imagination
We can apply Sociological imagination. to every account of race, gender, and class in the criminal justice system. We are such a diverse nation, with people coming from so many places and backgrounds that this is a vital part of it. Since we are all so different, and this goes beyond color or nationality each person has their own unique image.

I will start off with race being the first topic. Each of us has our own unique personality, but we each fit into a category of race. Each race feels as if it has its own stereotypes about itself. It may be that person feels they were arrested, because of the race they were. That’s mainly how the S.I. fits into the CJC system with the race cases. The person feels that since they are that color every person looks to them as a criminal.

The second topic is the gender. The system is made to have more gender equality. The main problem is with each gender they perceive they’re own problems with the system. Maybe the other person was more qualified, but maybe a man got the job over the woman so she sees it as unfair. The men may look at it as the woman got the job just because she was a woman. The system had to hire the woman, because they have to have so many different types of people. This may not be true, but in these given cases the man may feel like he was cheated. The man may feel like the woman can’t do the job as well as he can,
