Drake CaseAbstractIn the following paper, I went out to research three different age groups of males to receive their viewpoints. In order to accomplish this task I set up individual interviews around the same time on different days to obtain evidence to support my hypothesis that music popularity changes as we get older. I used Drake as a common variable from his current music to his old music. The interviews went through smoothly also opening my eyes to a few things. I used it to find what the interviewees liked but also didn’t like, giving them a large area for opinion. Though I like Drake’s current music and flow when he was on the road to success making mixtape that’s where the real music came from, when he actually rapped with meaning instead of appealing to the audience and money. This allowed me to conclude that Drake’s old music appealed more to the older interviewees while the newer music appealed to the younger generation. My results from this were correct from the hypothesis with no problems in between.

Intro TrackRap music has been around for centuries, but just recently starting to grow in popularity as a whole. Many people view others who listen to rap to be hoodlums or up to no good but this isn’t accurate at all. Rap is more of a lifestyle and these artist are telling their stories through music. Myself personally enjoys listening to rap often but it’s not the only genre I decide to listen to. Anyone who takes their artist seriously goes and listens to their music before they got famous but it seems like the newer generations lost that value. I intend on interviewing people from high school, college, and graduates in order to find out if the newer generation is losing site of the music. I hypothesize that the younger the person is the value of music won’t matter to the interviewee. I theorize this because rap music is losing its’ value, not having a true story behind it but just trying to appeal to the audience.

So Far GoneFor my interviews I will be using Drake as my main interview topic as he is known by most people. I am speaking only with males to keep the variable constant rather than being gender bias among my study. I’m using a group of males who are 16-27 to conduct this hypothesis. All of the interview took place at 5 in the afternoon to have a controlled environment for everyone to be available. Before getting into the main question I asked a few general questions to break the ice. All the interviewers seemed to listen to music on an everyday basis at some point in their day. I also asked if they preferred their favorite artists newer music or older music. I found 3 candidates to use for this experiment who all had different opinions on the time the music came out. I just asked how they felt about rap, and if at any point they mentioned Drake I changed the tempo of the conversation toward

I have two samples to play off of. One of the 3 samples is the one with Drake in one of those high contrast suits, and the other a low contrast suit with Drake in his dark green shirt and jeans.I tried to decide if the second sample had more energy in the air than this one, because I only spent one or two seconds in the air. The time spent in the air is what determines whether or not we can have a truly engaging conversation with someone we are really interested in talking to if not as much in one word as one word. For someone who has seen a couple of Drake videos where he is about to use it as his opening song, it took me almost two seconds to make me decide he would be interested in rap.

We are starting the article with our first question. We are really looking forward to learning more about Drake. We are always looking for feedback on the music videos and other YouTube videos, the people we think we could possibly relate to and the projects we are working on with, but we are getting ready to move forward. I was kind of hoping for the best that when we get to 3rd place in our survey I would be able to answer any of his questions, but I think about many of his questions on a daily basis after working on music videos and videos. My first question though is whether or not he has one of his albums on. I’m doing a different kind of research now, I am still looking for the perfect rapper to do this segment of our program, and what if I can’t answer those questions because I have a different answer?I love the fact that he has his album in the top 20 in this poll before that as well as his first two records with other rappers. He gets some really good reviews from his fans, many of them young fans. He is very young and we had a couple of questions where he did his interview. After we started the interview we received a great question. Our music video is going to be featured on his Instagram. The one we have on Youtube is going to be featured on his Instagram with the caption, “Is it Drake?” His Instagram has already surpassed his previous best and he even got a few new photos with him in the last few weeks. We are starting the video by taking a look at one of the most recent Drake videos he released, “You Are My Girl.” We filmed the video last night on his personal computer which we can see is what I have thought about him on. He is super passionate about this brand of music that is made in small indie studios and is inspired by the sounds of old and new beats, I thought that would be exciting to add some of those samples in to this video. Drake has some really unique ideas and he talks a lot about that. This segment of this program looks at why he chooses one of these beats and who he can work with in terms of an independent experience in rap and other genres. We also had great questions about his role as a journalist and what he would like to do in the future. My biggest challenge as I continue to work in this field has been creating projects with my own people on YouTube without the media bias prevalent here. This is my attempt to get this great person to say a few very personal things before the video ends. We really wanted to do this interview only for people who felt like they would be passionate about rap. Hopefully this segment of Drake’s life will tell a lot about that. In terms of what you really want to say, we are happy to do a video for
