The Impact of Fluoride on Human Health
Introduction
How do high fluoride levels affect your health? I hypothesized that high concentrations of fluoride ingestion have a detrimental impact on human health. The health effects are dependent on the amount of fluoride consumed. I came to this hypothesis by researching information on Fluoride and observing the charts below. All of the data shows that ingestion of fluoride leads to damaging health effects. It is crucial to test this hypothesis in order to help people avoid the ill health affects that fluoride contributes to. Without researching this topic people could continue to not take preventions against fluoride consumption and endanger their health. Through research many could avoid diminishing their physical condition.

Experimental Procedure
I am measuring the fluoride in ml and the impact on human health by how severe the health conditions are. The sample size is sufficient because the information gathered is from numerous websites with coinciding data. My control is that all the data I have collected is consistent with each other and that I have found no opposing information. I am assuming that the consumption of fluoride would affect everyone in the same manner and ultimately result in health problems.

Data/Results
The two best pieces of supporting evidence is the two charts below. Figure two shows the direct correlation between fluoride ingestion and the outcome is a negative health ramification. The beginning of the flow chart shows fluoride that is ingested and the end result is hyperparathyroidism, which is an increase in kidney stones and loss of calcium to bones. It has also been suggested that fluoride has the potential to initiate cancers Fluoride Information”. Also supporting evidence is figure one which shows fluoride in ml and health hazards it contributes to. Also a negative ramification with fluoride is dental fluorosis. This occurs because “excess levels of fluoride can disturb the cell function of the enamel-forming cells which prevents the normal maturation of the enamel” (dental fluorosis). So far in the United States the amount of fluoride that leads to excess levels or acute fluoride poisoning is from .1 to .8mg/kg of body weight (Akiniwa).
