It has also been observed that students tend to miss meals at mess due to monotonous mess menu and to avoid being late to the morning class. Students have been found to miss breakfast and evening snacks more often than other meals which are the most important meals of the day and may lead to reduced nourishment and metabolism. Due to late night activities and studies, students consume junk food from night canteen which is not healthy if consumed daily and has resulted in abnormal weight gain or loss in many students.        ObjectivesThe objective of the project is:To determine the demand of a fresh fruits’ store inside the IIM K campus.To check the feasibility of establishment of a fresh fruits’ store inside campus.To verify the hypothesis that a fresh fruits’ store inside campus will run successfully based on quantitative and qualitative willingness of students inside campus.To estimate the quantity of inventory of fruits to be kept in stall if the hypothesis stands ‘not rejected’.To estimate average daily earnings of the fruits’ vendor.        Research Methodology[pic 3]Fig 1.        Source of DataPrimary data is collected directly from students using Google forms (fig.2.a, 2.b) over a period of 6 days. No. of responses obtained were 104 which represents the sample size (n). Qualitatively demonstrates the high demand for a fruit store inside campus. This needs to be validated using quantitative analysis that whether the willingness to have a fruits’ store is compatible with the students’ ability to buy from an in-house fruits’ store.
