Mission
This project seeks to construct a new plant in Huntsville, Alabama. The Huntsville plant is vital to the success of the key elements strategically prioritized by Seitz Corporation and thus will operate functionally to ensure full use of the new plant by June 30, 2012.

Scope
This project addresses the design and construction of the Huntsville Plant including:
Consult with Architect, Real Estate Consultant, and General Contractor regarding building design and construction plans.
Receive approval for building permits.
Determine costs for design, construction, and maintenance.
Acquire equipment, raw material, and truck fleet for construction and production needs.
Conduct onsite landscaping for ground keeping.
Recruit and train managerial staff and plant operations.
Develop production, distribution and pre-production plans
Initiate production, distribution and construction.
This project will not provide geothermal heating or solar powered electric feed.
This project will not develop a multi-level parking garage or in house food court.
There will be no construction of a separate distribution facility.
Objectives
The overall objective of the new Huntsville Plant is to have it operable in accordance to the established project time and budget. In addition, project objective is to design a facility that Seitz Corporation could utilize to implement the key elements of its strategic plan as prioritized.

Assumptions
Recruit Architect, Real Estate Consultant, and General Contractor no later than May 31, 2011.
Building Site and permits approved and obtained no later than July 8, 2011.
Building concept and design and pre-production and production plan finalized and approved no later than August 17, 2011 to ensure adequate timing for construction.

Equipment, raw material, and truck fleet leased no later than August 19, 2011.
Manager and plant operations staffing and training completed no later than May 31, 2012.
Construction will begin no later than September 12, 2011 and end June 10, 2012
Equipment installed no later than June 20, 2012.
Initiate production and distribution by June 30, 2012
Constraints
Limits placed on the project would be the inability to recruit staff and establish building concept and design by the designated deadline in order for construction to begin July 16, 2011, due to the availability of resources.

Time/Decision Points
Key events for this project will include:
Construction to begin no later than September 2, 2011
Project completion including installation of equipment by June 30, 2012
Cost/Financial Assumptions
The total amount of funds authorized for this project is $2,750,000. Successful completion of this project will provide Seitz Corporation with the ability to become a nationally recognized industry provider by increasing productivity and thus doubling sales.

User Acceptance Criteria/Quality
Project team and Seitz Corporations prominent staff is responsible for the success of this project. Networking and establishing potential relationships will ensure that reputable resources staffed and facilitated to construct the new Huntsville Plant timely according to all board expectations. Engaging in communication with the board and sponsor to add input to the expected product and provide status updates or change requests timely is required.

Major Risks
Risks that can affect the projects success would relate to not getting location approval timely by Project Owner and sponsor and pre-production and production plan along with building design not finalized and approved timely due to resources.
