Human Resource Management Roles        An organization cannot build a good team of working professionals without a good human resource team. The main key functions of the human resource management team includes recruiting people, training them, performance appraisals, motivating employees as well as workplace communication, workplace safety, and much more. Human resources, when pertaining to health care can be different from other fields of professionals. It can be defined as the different kinds of clinical and non-clinical staff responsible for public and individual health intervention (Mejia). As many believe, the most importance of the health system inputs, the performance and the benefits the system can deliver depend largely upon the knowledge, skills and motivation of those individuals responsible for delivering health services. As health resource managers it is important to provide the balance between the human and physical resources, it is also essential to maintain an appropriate mix between the different types of health promoters and caregivers to ensure the systems success (Kabene). Due to their obvious and important differences, it is imperative that human capital is handled and managed very differently from physical capital (Kabene). The relationship between human resources and health care is very complex, and it qualifies further examination and study.

Human resources management plays a vital role in the health care workplace in ensuring the delivery of health care services and facilitating optimal patient outcomes. In the healthcare setting, the human resource department fills a variety of personnel needs that both employers and employees encounter. The role of this department is to manage all aspects of operations that are personnel related (Mejia). The most important role of the human resource management is to ensure the most qualified candidates are sought, hired, and tenured in the organization. Management in the human resource department works to find appropriate potential employees through advertisements and screenings, once hired, the management works to train employees on the duties and ensure the individuals understand the tasks outlined in their job description.
