The first reason is the research topic which is the relationship between human resource management best practices and firm performance is the reviewer’s interest and by investigating this research paper it would fulfill the reviewer curiosity and gain new knowledge. The second reason is it will enhance the reviewer’s knowledge about the information between human resource management and firm performance; therefore it will create a value for the reviewer when trying to find a job in an organization.        1.2 Structure of the report        The report can be divided into five parts. Introduce the reasons and the purpose of the review paper for the selected research paper is the first part. The second part of this report discusses the purpose, rationale and the related literature. Next, the third part will be discussing the research methodology and design. Outline the main finding, implications and limitations are the fourth part of this report. Hence the fifth part which is also the last part of this report will be summarize the main points of the research and evaluate the adaptation of the methodology.

2.0 Summary of purpose, rationale and related literature        2.1 The purpose and rationale of the study        Beh and Loo showed, the universalistic perspective of human resource management practices perceives which a set of practices can achieve company performance and competitive advantage. As the information which the researcher given, the researcher adopt a universalistic theory which realized that the human resource practices are heavily consistent with the firm performance in order to achieve the organizational goals. In addition, the researcher also argued that a synergistic human resource management system is a pathway via which the company’s human capital has the potential to enhance the company performance and to become an important source of competitive advantage. It is important to implement the human resource practices as it will influence organization performance differently such as job satisfaction, employee commitment and productivity. So, the researcher proposed that the research model mainly including three factors which are human resource management best practices, organization strategy and firm performance. Therefore, the researcher fully supported their rationale by covering the source of universalistic. Hence these will give every reader a picture which is clear and simple that covered the things which have been done and things have not been done yet.
