Ethics as way of life is reflected in Daoism and Confucianism. Religious conceptions of ethics can be seen in Christian Ethics and Islamic Ethics.¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†The origin of the universe came from One-Self wrapped in nothingness. Out of nothingness, desire rose up to create something. And this ‚Äúsomething‚ÄĚ was the desire to have a companion. Hindus believed that this was the key to bring up everything to life where it all filled with reality. Are the Hindus saying that the universe consists of two entities where it could be two parallel realities or being similar with the concept of dualism?¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†Considering with the fact that the one-self needed a companion, it could generally mean that the self always need a partner. And by this, all things are being paralleled to certain things. Like lightness and darkness, they are opposite yet having the same relationship upon each other, one cannot exist without the other. Another example is the masculinity and femininity. They might have different characteristics but their form parallels them to each other. The same goes with the biggest concept in the universe, life and death. Both are the opposites but they do have relation and the weight they possess are equal to each other. Complexities between the two are always being argued. Like for example, death is a gateway to life but some says it‚Äôs literally the end. Life may mean that it gives objects a kind of consciousness. The concept of dualism may explain all of these. The concept is all about the existence of two entities where one cannot exist without the other. One concrete example is the Cartesian plane. A cartesian plane cannot exist without one of the axis. A horizontal axis is useless without the existence of the vertical axis and vice versa. Dualism means that both entities should benefit upon each other. Most of the philosophers do agree upon this concept but some do not and this is because of the complexities that give confusing generalizations and conclusions. And remember, our human mind do not have enough knowledge to know the realities and as Hindus believed, human knowledge are being covered by sheets of illusions.
