War Is a Necessity
War is a necessity
Human beings were evolved from monkeys. Monkeys are animalistic this means that they will attack and kill to take care of themselves when they feel threatened but also to protect their family. As humans we do the same we would fight and kill to save others as well as ourselves. It is within our human nature that will always turn to war when in a conflict.

Diplomacy is an agreement so that war can be avoided but it has been shown in the past that it has not worked as well as thought. In an essay ,written by Marcus Tullius Cicero, “On duties” he states “….two ways of settling a dispute first, by discussion; second, by physical force (Cicero). Cicero states that war can be avoided by discussion over the conflict at hand. Yet there can not be a peaceful discussion about a topic that both parties are angry about. A spoken agreement as well as written agreement can always be broken. For example Hitler prior to World War II took over the Rhineland he broke the Treaty of Versailles. Hitler promised that he would not take over any more areas. Great Britain appeased him due to his statement Hitler did not live up to his promise he eventually took over most of Europe and built an army. He killed approximately six million Jewish and destroyed many areas. This is an example that diplomacy does not work Cicero states that discussion should be the first thing we do yet if it is it gives more time for the enemy to prepare for war against the other. An agreement can easily be broken and many lives could be lost.

Our human nature depends on war to achieve what we desire and fulfil our needs. During 62 B.C Lucius Sergius Catalina stated in his last speech “If we conquer all will be safe.if we lose.those same places will turn against us”(Cataline). Cataline is stating that war is a human necessity because if you win you get what you desire but if you lose
