The graphic representation of how the class works in US was very interesting. Even though I currently dont hold a job I decided to use my husbands background to see where we fit in the class. This shows that if person has a higher education that than his/her class level will move but at the same point I think matters as to which career path you have selected. My husband got his BS in Computer Science just when the computer industry was booming. In todays world one can change their social class level by just working hard and getting higher education. My in-laws worked hard to ensure a secure future for their two sons and now they belong to a way higher social class than when they first moved to US 13 years ago. I think if my in-laws were in different country besides US than it might not have been easy to just move up the social class. I am saying this from an experience of my own parents back in India.

The article on “Household income in the United States” talks about the household income and where the most of us send compare to everyone else in the country. After looking at income distribution graph I was very surprised by how many of Americans who earn less than 30 thousand per year with compare to those who earn more than 100 thousand. Now days almost every household has one or more person earning the money to help the household. I actually wasnt surprised when I saw the graph about which racial groups household income is higher. Asian familys household income was the highest among the big racial groups (White, Hispanic and Black). One should keep in mind that there are far less Asian household in America than any other racial group. There were few common sense statistics where if you have higher education the more money you will earn. US have median household income lower than Switzerland but higher than UK, Canada and other developed countries. People use their household income to define where
