The candidates that are even considered for interviews must have top notch educational and/or job accomplishment. The process begins as early as the fall with core B-school visits and info sessions, followed by campus interviews in closed sessions1 . If selected for the final round, candidates are invited to Super Saturday where the associates’ class will be selected. It’s an exhausting experience for candidates and the interviewers. The day consists of a formal dinner with leadership the night before where candidates are sized up, even in a non-business setting2. The next morning, each candidate is assigned (5) thirty minute interviews with assigned SG Cowen bank associates and leadership3. After the interviews take place, all the interviewers meet to determine who gets job offers.

A Final Form

The last step of the process begins with the interview and candidate are interviewed and screened for relevant employment. This can take a few days for each candidate. To ensure the candidate will receive the most favorable information possible, the interview process needs to be repeated, and candidates must pay their appropriate costs. Here are a few examples:

‬Calls for interview are made with candidates directly and then followed by a review of each candidate’s resume and the results of any interviews. Interviewers can contact the candidate via email or webinars when required. Most of these are paid at least $1,000 a month to attend every interview. The interviewer makes clear that no interview will ever be conducted in such an interview format. The interview with the candidate will determine the time and location for the next step in the training: the final interview. A full transcript must be sent to supervisors for inclusion.

‪During the interview, many participants ask about the role they have played in helping to build our organization. When the candidate’s interviewers ask for answers or provide guidance on how to improve, these additional interviewers help determine how the interview is for themselves and not to other candidates. Results of the interviews are used to determine the final qualifications for the position, such as who will be on staff, team goals, salary or resume structure.
