Motivation is a process where our need activates a selected behavior thanks to we can try to achieve our goal. The motivation drives us to act in a way to achieve our desire goal. All the push or pull motives are connected with our perceptions, with way how we see and understand the world around us.

In 1943 Abraham Maslow published a “Theory of human motivation” where he presented hierarchy of needs. On the bottom of the pyramid are all physiological and safety needs such us food, water, air, rest etc. Higher levels represents higher needs, which are more complex. An affiliation on the third level of the pyramid says about belonging to a groups such as family, school or work colleagues groups; a need of love and friendship. On the forth level are self-esteem needs such as respect, achievement, confidence, need of being recognize. Self-actualization needs are on the last level of the Maslows pyramid are creativity, morality, spontaneity, problem solving etc.

All the lower level needs have to be satisfied, although we would not survive. After that all the higher needs can be motivated (Organizational Behaviour)

Many other motivational theories are based on Maslows pyramid of need.
Dann in 1981 in 7 points explained motivation stimuli. He says that “travel is a response to what is lacking yet desire”. In another words it is a respond for a lack of for example – beautiful weather or job opportunities. More then 600,000 people have come to work in the UK in 2006. More then half of this group came from Poland where big rate of unemployment and low salaries are the push factors which motivate people to travel (BBC News).
