Sometimes in order to go to the NEXT LEVEL you have to let go and be ready for a Change even though it’s not a comfortable move but still push”. So basically in my eyes it has been established that life without change is life without learning rather it’s a good change or bad change. The craziest change in my life was me getting accepted in a small private college called Webber International University (WIU) and being able to play basketball when I graduated from high school. I never had WIU in mind, I always was reaching for top Division 1 schools like Florida, Clemson, or Oregon because they was always on TV playing. But getting accept into a smaller private schools and being able to play for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) program gave me the chance to learn about how a private and small college work and operate from attending big Schools like Florida State. Being at WIU allowed me to connect with others who share my same ethnicity and background. This experience has changed me for the better, since I was going play basketball and study in sports management business were I began to network with more people, and also strengthened my communication skills and being a critical thinker.

As I Approached my first fall semester at the college, it dawned on me that I had to begin making life changing decisions and time would not wait on me. It was September of 2014 when I attend my classes, practices, and school events. Having to stay constant through 6 o clock workouts in the morning and have to attend classes afterwards was a big challenges for me but I fought through it even though it was much different from high school and playing rec league ball after school was over. But my mother friends told me that WIU was a good business program school other than the fact finical aid was a pain and it’s in boring location. Of course you can’t judge a book by its cover so despite anything and what anyone said about WIU I had check it out myself.  Additionally, they were right about it being in a boring location in a dry area where the college was located in Babson Park, FL were I was kind of shocked and amazed. After having an awesome true freshmen year in college on the court becoming most improve player and having an 3.2 GPA in the classroom , my second year as sophomore was not what I thought it should been. Being at WIU for two years it started to show they true colors on money situation where I was having to owe the school money for false late fees, housing issues, and rules and regulations at the college. Also being lie to by the basketball who post to raise my scholarship money after winning awards and having one best GPA on the team didn’t keep his word and I had a lot money to pay back and tuition was killing my pockets as well being at the private school. Between the battles with false payments I had to still pay at the college and not getting more scholarship money from my basketball coach was so frustrating and hard for me to stay focus. Not paying the school they payments was go end up causing me not to play for the remain of year, next year and not being able to continue going to classes. It was sad to say that I was disappointed and unhappy about getting lie on and lie to, so I knew I had transfer to a school that was more comfortable for me to adapt to and cheaper to attend.
