The number of gays and lesbians has increase from 14.2 million to 15.1 million according to Dr. Adams on the video. Personally I believe that there are more gays than that, because a lot of people are still “in the closet” and have not “came out” yet. For years the debate has been going on whether or not individuals are born gay or if some force from society makes them become gay. The largest debate over these people lately has been whether or not gay and lesbian relationships should become legalize in the United States in the same manner that heterosexual relationships are.
I consider myself a heterosexual, because I am not attracted to females and I have a boyfriend, but many of my friends are either gay or a lesbian. Both of my female best friends are bisexual. The term bisexual is a confusing one for me. To me it is like they are greedy. How can you have it both ways? One day they might like guys and the other day they might girls. Basically they just want to have their cake and eat it too. I always thought about gays as homosexuals. So when I think about the bisexuals in the world where do they lie? They fit into both categories. I think you should belong to one group. You are either gay or you are not.
I was not exposed to homosexuality at an early age. Instead I was raised in the church believing in Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve or Eve and Eve. However, when I was exposed to homosexuality I did not frown upon it or was did I fear it. I was rather curious about how they interacted intimately. When I was a teenager in high school was when I was exposed to “bisexuals”. For some reason it seemed that all the girls in high school who were known as sluts because they had sex with a lot of boys seemed to have somehow turned into “bisexuals” before they graduated.
I question myself by asking what happened to that girl for that to happen? Did she just get tired of men and moved on to women? What is gong to happen when she gets tired of women? Is that why bisexuals go back and forth? Even today I have to hear stories from my guy friends about how attractive a female is and when they went to talk to her she said that she was gay or vice versa. A few years ago J.L. King, a black author, wrote a book On the Down Low. Now not only do I have to watch out for gay men, but men that are on the “DL”(down low). These men are secretly having sex with other men while engaged in relationships with women. Majority of the time when they have sex with these men they don not use condoms, because if they did then that would mean that they intentionally
n.tied the relationship through something like that. I can’t say it to be “unprofessional” but for some dudes I like it so much more.
I wonder how that girl would feel if another woman told her that she was a lesbian, but I don’t think a lesbian would ever tell a straight man that she was an honest lesbian (and maybe that was OK. ). When a man tells an angry lesbian a friend he doesn’t like, he’s saying they’re a complete asshole with an unhealthy level of self-loathing. There are really other things you must understand, but for a woman I do think that the way the way men have sex with men, on their own, has to do with their identity and their personal preferences. It’s not only their own feelings in the body that make their feelings personal, but also their private decisions and opinions. The body is also a unique and unique place to be, and we all have different things to worry about. It’s important to try to be aware of that and to feel safe.
Do you think that people who are attracted to older men feel “terrified” when they hear a sexual encounter between a man and woman, or does it simply mean that they don’t enjoy that experience anymore, or has it become easier even for men to deal with it?
