Business CaseBecause of the high coffee consumption and current trends, we’d like to open a coffee shop in mainland China. Our Cup Coffee Shop will be located on Merchandise Street, which has high traffic counts and is known as a gathering place. We will design the space with a modern, sleek style and try to integrate it with elegance; the huge French window can give everyone sunshine and a refreshed feeling.

In regard to choosing coffee and coffee making process, we will try to ensure the high quality to satisfy every customer. Also we will offer a variety of products, not just focusing on different flavors and brands of coffee. People could also have fancy desserts, sandwiches, and other kinds of beverages in our Cup Coffee Shop. In addition, we will provide the best service and environment to customers. So people can easily relax. Surely, our convent and high efficiency services such home delivery will be welcomed by customers.

As we know, becoming a successful company can’t happen without an excellent team support. Our management team combines a variety of talent; we join our efforts together to achieve the same goals. Our professional staff will include a nutritionist to help our product development and give us suggestions. We also will have an accountant and lawyer to help us with financial issues and some other business issues, we also dividend our small investment shares to our team, not all belonging to managers. Everyone would care about our sales and profit, and care about our company. Even though the market competition is more vigorous, we will have enough confidence to become the winner and make our company more profitable .

In closing, I share with you my view on the importance of an effective management team. Our business consists of three distinct levels:

(1) Organizational Level: An effective team makes every effort to be organized, responsive to the needs of our customers. It is an integral component of one’s business. Every action the business takes to meet their needs is a necessary part of our business. Any initiative that works against that is not good at all in our eyes, and our customers often have difficulty believing that any such efforts have been successful in the past. To put this in perspective, my wife works with a team of over 100 people – many of them working only on sales and profit-support issues as well as on strategic planning for all the company’s new initiatives. An effective management team will also need a strong team mentality, both self-directed and self-motivated. Each team will work diligently to meet its specific needs, and all our problems will need solving, while we plan for the company at large, as our team works toward the goal of being the one and only company that can achieve its vision and success. If our business is truly successful, our team will be focused on the business.

(2) Leadership Level: The company’s leadership qualities consist in the core values of excellence, competence, leadership values, competitiveness, hard work, and vision. Without an individual or group experience, the team doesn’t function. We can’t develop or build something effective by our own ingenuity. Therefore, the team needs to be able to demonstrate outstanding leadership qualities. I have found that the more experienced, the better. As an executive, the person who has the best organizational structure is usually able to make a great leader. However, we cannot achieve this with an organization that has a bunch of people working around the clock, not in the same room, making decisions for themselves and their families.

Please note: the team I attended has been very professional and very respectful. We tried to do a lot of good works and people but the effort was really lacking. In addition, our organization was lacking one member – I lost sight of one of his best qualities and I had to take some important steps. I also wish I could have explained them a bit more. The people at our group have an incredibly hard work ethic, they’re hard workers in the office– I am lucky that they work with me every day. The way they do not give any credit to the team, which makes it very difficult to talk about a problem, because when they do, someone will call us the wrong person. Also, I believe that most of these people are poor. Because they work from home, they rarely know what to think of their day– I think our team is really lacking in that area because they try to concentrate on their task when they have to.
