Ang Lee’s adaptation of “Mountain”, written by Annie Proulx, gets two thumbs up in Hollywood. Known as “Brokeback Mountain” on the big screen, this love-story portrays the romance between Heath Ledger (Ennis Del Mar) and Jake Gyllenhaal (Jack Twist). Throughout the movie Heath Ledgers friend-turned lover, Texas Rodeo Cowboy Jake Gyllenhaal portrayed the romance 100% better than that of Heath Ledger. Being obligated to sit through the 2 ј hours of the $6.30 movie I paid for, I’ve discovered that in the future I will certainly question the sexuality of Jake Gyllenhaal.

It seems like Hollywood’s agenda is to portray Homosexuality as okay in today’s society. That is the only reason I can think that they would give this poorly written screen-play such great reviews and many Grammy’s and Emmy’s. Not to say the acting in Brokeback Mountain was bad because of the actors. I think that Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger used their lines well for what was written for them, as poorly script as it was. Co-stars Michelle Williams and Anne Hathaway seemed to portray the wives of the gay cowboys quite well, with what little acting that was required from them.
