Health-Risk Appraisal
Health-Risk AppraisalNameInstitutional AffiliationHealth-Risk AppraisalBehaviors and factors that prevent or reduce accidents, sudden illness and violent injuries. It is important for any society to ensure that its inhabitants or citizens are protected against anything that might threaten their physical and mental well-being. Firstly, it is important that the proper policies are adopted to provide guidelines which will lead to the prevention of accidents and injuries. Traffic systems can protect pedestrians against motorists as they are the most affected by traffic accidents (World Health Organization, 2006). Installation of traffic lights and cameras will ensure that there is more order in the roads making it safer not only for the pedestrians but the motorists as well. Fines can also be imposed to those that are found of any wrong doing as they are endangering their life as well as those of fellow road users. Violent injuries can be a result of domestic abuse, violent robbery or even disputes amongst the residents of a community (Auyero, 2015). Violence should be highly discouraged by the government of any location as it can result in death. Strict policies are needed to discourage people to resorting to this form of action in case there is an issue between them and another person. Jail time or a criminal record can be effective as no one wants either of the two as it will limit their opportunities. Lastly, people should be encouraged to undergo regular medical check-ups so as to maintain good health and deal with any illness that they discover prudently. Sudden illness is a major hindrance to the development of an economy as it renders people unable to continue working (Wright, 2014). They can be motivated to doing so if healthcare is available and affordable which will make it a stress-free activity. Youth are the backbone of the economy, and their health should be prioritized as they are more capable and full of potential than the school going children and elderly in the community.

Behaviors and factors that contribute to sufficient physical activity and promote health-enhancing dietary practices.                As the saying goes, an apple a day keeps the doctor away. It is important for everyone to be responsible for their health as it will determine their ability and how they live their lives. Healthy living involves some obligations and awareness to what a person consumes. Most foods nowadays contain their nutritional value information on them to help people keep tabs on them. Physical activity is crucial to living a healthy life as the body can get rid of unwanted weight and calories. It helps in the long run by preventing some serious conditions such as heart problems and diabetes (Johnson, 2015). The activities might involve going to the gym or even morning runs around the nearby park. As a result, a person will become more active and aware of their diet since they desire to take better care of themselves which will lead to fewer issues later on in their life (Bi et at., 2014).                Proper awareness on the importance of healthy living might result in an improved rate of adoption of such practices by the general public. The government has a crucial part to play in this as it can be able to offer incentives such as offering tax breaks to people who are more physically active. As crazy as the idea might sound, it makes sense when taking into consideration the savings that would be done from taking care of the sick later on. Additionally, if the population is fit, they tend to be more productive in the workplace which will lead to more development of the economy (Bloom & Canning, 2008).
