Harry S Truman, John F Kennedy, Vince Lombardi, and Thomas Jefferson; What did all these people have in common? Each one of these people were leaders, and great ones at it. To be a leader can be commonly defined as having the ability to guide or to show a person. To tell people what to do. I believe that three responsibilities for a leader are to be shrewd, to be able to capture a nation, and to encourage a good work ethic onto people.

Harry S Truman once said ” Leadership is the ability to get men to do what they dont want to and like it.” Truman was known for his upfront speeches and his basic values. He was a senator, a vice president, then became the thirty third president. He is also seen as a shrewd leader. Being shrewd is the ability to be tricky, in the way to get people to do what you want but like it. He also stated things like if you cannot

stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. This showed his ability to be tough. Harriet S Truman had the ability to get the job done, and that is why he is a great leader

John F Kennedy had the ability to win people over. He was the thirty fifth president. People loved him for his ability to make confident decisions. John was also loved for his intelligence and his tireless energy. He would often speak about the new problems that would come up. He could also talk about the new world that would have to be won over. John Kennedy was a man out to win over the world.

Vince Lombardi was a man of very good work ethic. He brought the Green Bay Packers to five NFL titles and has an award named after him now. Vince had the ability to get people to work harder and to put more emotion into doing what they did. He once stated that it is no matter how you get knocked down, but how you pick yourself back up.

Thomas Jefferson was a very wise president. He wrote of the Declaration of Independence, and helped in the Louisiana
