Life is crazy. Its fast, its hard and it can be rough sometimes. However, there are certain people in this world that can turn things around and make the most mundane, boring, or hard parts of life seem as small as grains of sandЖa tiny part of something so much greater.
As he turns 21, Id like to thank my boyfriend Ed for always being that kind of person. Now that college is over for him hes going to be thrown into the real world. Life after college, life with a real job and real headaches; and not the “oh no Ive got a paper to write headaches”, more like the “oh no Ive got to pay the rent and cook my own dinner kind of headaches.”
But I have faith in him. If anyone can do it, he can. Whether its working 12 hour days at 2 jobs all summer or staying up all through the night to make sure the computer he built for that last nasty customer works exactly how it should. Hes completely capable of anything he sets his mind to Ð- as long as it doesnt require a really good sense of direction or math skills. Hed never think to take out a map when hes lost but hed break out the calculator for 6×7Ð hes too pretty for math anyway.
In all seriousness, some people you meet will be good influences, some bad, some youll forget two seconds after meeting. But Edward Delahunt is the kind of guy wholl change the way you see the world with just one smile.
