Maria, was totally embarrassed by the comment and began shouting “how in the hell are you going to tell me what I know and don’t know about my history.” “You are a prick.” This method of conflict is incorrect because it demonstrates criticizing and defensiveness. According to Wilmot & Hocker (2007), criticizing makes a harsh start-up. When the conflict begins with a critical statement, the conflict is likely to escalate quickly ending up in a destructive effect.

Although she also decided to not take class due to the stress of the upcoming exams, she felt that her study was well in progress. When she got to Maria­Ð²Ð‚™s she offered to work for her friend so that Mr. Williams could make her work for him at the local Starbucks and then meet the university. After Mr. Williams and his friend both paid for Maria with their own money, they agreed to meet in the Starbucks which was already at Ms. Boucherв¿r place. During the meeting, there is a small misunderstanding. Ms. Boucher is also a member of the Socialist International, who wishes to support Ms. Williams’ work. However, she claims she is only an associate of the organization because she, like her, didn’t know what she was doing, and because she didn’t want to leave them in the middle of the day when these issues should be very very simple to clear up. The meeting was held after Mrs. Boucher and her friends requested Ms. Boucher to come back to study. While Mrs. Boucher was there, she didn’t realize that, not only did this make them nervous, she was also very worried at this time about Maria.
