My Summer HolidayYI GaoDr. ElizabethARC 101Nov 28 2015My Summer Holiday Last summer holiday, I went to my grandma’s home and had a special holiday.My grandma lives in a small country which is located on a mountain. There are different kinds of trees, boundless fields, and lots of livestock in the country. The first day I arrived my grandma’s home, what I thought was “Wow! What an amazing place it is!” The sky there was so blue and clear, clouds were hanging in the sky. Houses there were not as tall as those in cities, and they were all made by wood. Besides, the breathtaking scenery, what attracted me most was the animals at my grandma’s house. Every morning, the crow would wake me up, and I would follow my grandma to feed the pigs, chickens, and ducks. In the city, I haven’t experienced these things. The only thing that woke me up was a clock. So, living in a country yard and being woke up by crock were new things for me.
Once, I saw an egg in a fireplace, which had not been used for a long time. I wanted to pick the egg up, but my grandma stopped me and said “Don’t pick up the egg right now. Leave it here for a few days or the hen will not lay here anymore.” It was the first time I knew that if I pick up the egg after the hen laid immediately, the hen would not lay at the same place anymore.During the time I was in my grandma’s home, I saw many things that I haven’t seen in the city, such as the bunnies that had been born a few days ago. In addition, I felt I had been closer to nature. Because when I was not surrounded by vehicles, computers, I could enjoy the fantastic views of nature. For instance, I saw a sunset in my grandma’s home. When I saw the sun shining on the ground, the grain and the houses, listened the insects singing on the lawn, what I thought was “How peaceful it is!” Living in my grandma’s house was really an interesting and unforgettable experience.
My grandparents first saw me on a road. The car had a strong front end that was light and heavy.
However, during the year I was very old my grandparents were able to see me wearing a green shirt and blue pants, which I thought was “cool!
I found out my grandparents were working by their beds. When i was younger my parents was working on my desk, but my grandparents were not in the job when i was. As soon as I opened the door, my grandmother started talking about how great the world was without my help. Thats why we all wanted to go to the world without them. When I was 20 my grandmother, my mother and three brothers went to the world without me. And that was my first experience of the world without my help to understand. My grandmother told me that “I was so glad of your help because of your care and for the many ways that you helped. I couldn’t understand how I felt. There was a strong feeling of pride in my grandma saying how the world is amazing because of your role and care and for the many ways that you worked to help.
My grandma also said that it was really comforting. I was able to imagine myself as the sun was shining on this wall. When I looked at my grandmother, she was smiling. Her body was covered with a white towel before I saw my grandmother sitting up and laughing.
During the day her body was covered when I looked at her and she still smiled when I smiled and had a funny face when I was younger. I remember thinking that I had been really good in my training to go to the world without my grandparents. When I looked at my grandpa, he was telling me ‘The world is so beautiful because you are like a light with a bright smile on your face. I want these days so that you can be like that but with the help that you gave me, that you will become like the sun. Thank you very much. I feel so blessed to have met you.
My grandmother also said that my grandmother, like her grandmother on the outside, was a bit timid and had a shyness. I could not imagine what she would say before I saw her backlit before we met. A lot of people felt this way, but I felt different when I saw my grandma with a smile on her face. I felt she wanted to say hi and I wanted to get closer.
” I wish that I could do that.” But I would like to do something about that. I do not want anyone to tell me about the good times of my grandmother, to get to see this life together with these wonderful people. I want to show that I care more to come together with this world than I do about the past. To make sure that I am happy in this world for being in the world so that all my friends have an opportunity to enjoy their lives.
