Food CaseEssay Preview: Food CaseReport this essayRighto. Where do we begin? The long story or the short one? Lets go for the short version. Hubbards. Founded way back in 1990 by Dick and Diana Hubbard. Our purpose? Make Good Food. Then Make A Difference. We make natural, healthy, nutritious, delicious and sustainable food thats good for you, fills you up and cheers you on along the way. Whats not to like? We want to fill the world with positive energy. Then go home happy.

Its a little known fact that grumpy people make grumpy food. Its true. As all those chefs on the telly say, Words cant describe food thats been made with passion and love. That thought is at the core of our simple philosophy – Happy People Make Happy Food. Its a no brainer really. Its also something that Dick has believed in from the start. Our people make Hubbards what it is. That means our suppliers, the farmers who grow and nurture our ingredients, all of us in Mangere and perhaps more importantly, you, our customers. If we can make everyone as happy as possible at every step along the Hubbards journey, well be going somewhere to making the world a better place.

We love rolling our sleeves up, mucking in and giving back. Over the years, Hubbards has been involved in a whole host of good community causes. From supporting students studying food technology at Massey University, to spending time and energy on local projects and charities such as Outward Bound and Ronald McDonald House. We call it Doing the right thing. Or as some wise old man once said Give it out. And itll come back. So what amazing things have you been up to lately? Rowed across the Tasman? Spent a week sitting in a bathtub of baked beans for a good cause? Started a community vegetable growing club? Tidied up a local beach? Whatever it is, we want to hear all about it. From small to large projects, if youve got something on, let us know and well help spread the word. Have a look-see at our All About You & You section to see what other amazing things have been happening. Or even better, pop on over to our Facebook page. And feel the community spirit.
