Hate Groups

After combing over the map and clicking on some of the sites, I was in total shock that these groups exist.  What I found to be interesting is that each vehemently try to justify their cause by calling themselves “revisionists”, “idealists”, “teachers”, “preachers” and describe themselves as “non-violent”.  They hide behind the guise of freedom of speech and the right to assemble to propagate their beliefs of putrid hatefulness.  It is disgusting that they are able to manipulate written law just enough to allow themselves to exist openly instead of in a basement or backwoods barn somewhere in the middle of nowhere.  When did the world become so ugly?I cannot tell whether the race relations in the United States have gotten better or worse over the decades.  But I am optimistic that it is mostly better.  On the one hand you have generations of families who have evolved and taught their children tolerance by example, so this is good.  For example, in my mostly Hispanic family, I have an uncle that is African American.  I did not “know” he was black until I was old enough to go to school.  Before that he was just my uncle.  My family didn’t point out the differences in people, they were just people.  As a child, even though our family was Catholic, I went to a Lutheran church sometimes, because our neighbor was a minister and invited me.  On the other hand, we also now have a generation of people who are desensitized thanks to online gaming, they are numb to the tribulations of others and therefore violence means nothing. Society has come a long way with the open acceptance of diversity.  In every aspect of our lives, we are a diverse group and for the most part, the growth and evolution has been a very good thing.  Because society is constantly changing, laws are changing to include or exclude some group or belief.  This allows for the interpretation of the law to be manipulated and so not only do we accept African Americans, Jewish people, the LGBT community, illegal immigrants, etc., we have to be tolerant and accepting of those people who are deviant on a whole other level.  Like those who belong to these hate groups.  To allow the existence of these groups is not okay.  It takes the whole idea of tolerance and racial equality and spits on it.
