Nature of Logic and Perception
The nature of logic has been evaluated and re-evaluated by many. Many different theories and modes of thinking are applied to our everyday routines. How you think and what is logical to you is based upon your experiences and perceptions in life.

My own process is based upon personal experiences from growing up. It applies to my everyday breakdown of logic and how I apply it to most of what I do. When I was young I experienced watching my father be much of the handyman. Although he worked the same job for many years, 23 to be exact, he also craved the acceptance and experience of doing other things. He managed an apartment we lived in, worked on cars and often brought work home with him. All because his perception was of how he was being seen by others. Never accepting that enough is enough and that you have to value what you have. If you are not there to enjoy the fruits of your labor what is there to enjoy?

My fathers thinking was flawed. He did not apply basic logic to his ideas or give thought to everyday reasoning. He allowed himself to be victim of his own ego. As stated in Critical Thinking (1999).

Projection is the defense mechanism by which we see in others a part of
ourselves that we cannot accept and do not recognize. We may believe others
are hostile toward us when it is we who are hostile toward them. We may
see in others our own incompetence and deceitfulness, which we are unable
to accept in ourselves. We may see selfish motives in others, which are really
the selfish motives in us which we do not consciously recognize. In short, we
see others not as they are, but as we are. Our thinking about ourselves and
others is therefore grossly distorted when we engage in projection. Like denial,
this interferes with our ability to think critically about ourselves, others, and
our social situations. Notice in the example below how a mans perception of
others as crazy and his desire to hurt someone seem to be projections of his
own inner reality.
Because he projected his desire for the need to be everything and not something specific he did not recognize that ego is self defeating?
If he were to use tools such or concepts such as: The Evaporating Cloud
