Current TechnologyCurrent TechnologyInformation technology (IT) is an important part of our global network. IT one of the main players that develop all applications related to our new technologies. In an interview with Jerry McClean, Director, Information technology for Freescale Semiconductor, Inc. the mission was clear. Create a complete system separate from the parent company Motorola without going backwards. In July 2004, Freescale became a publicly traded company following its initial public offering. Results were separation from former company’s systems, agility within its systems and a competitive advantage for Freescale.

Freescale Semiconductor is a global leader in the design and manufacture of embedded semiconductors for wireless, networking, automotive, consumer and industrial markets. The company provides original equipment manufacturers with chips to help them drive advanced cell phones, manage Internet traffic and to help make vehicles safer and more energy efficient.

McClean stated that the challenge for Freescale was the systems foundation to keep the business operational. The operation included the flow of products, vendor payment, travel expense reimbursement, and human resource management. The implementation and integration of SAP technology was a source of substantial contribution to Freescale’s organization success. In line with the company’s strategy of advancing technology for simplification, speed and savings, Freescale has made tremendous advancements in systems and processes with SAP integrated systems. With each system implementation, Freescale has improved its operational efficiency and increased the speed and accessibility to information.

In the early years of the SAP business, it was Freescale that initiated the creation of a business that used a single process and process management system to deliver the products and services to a diverse and varied audience. This continued through the introduction of a number of SAP programs. Freescale helped design, design and develop an advanced business program. Freescale used the SAP expertise provided by SAP’s global and independent teams to develop its proprietary SAP. It continued at SAP, integrating SAP services into the commercialization of SAP systems, systems architecture and software systems, operating and maintenance costs and performance, and the development of advanced SAP solutions and technology including SAP’s SAP Cloud™. It began providing customized SAP services during this period.

Risks

While there is no data on the risks in the past, our business structure is evolving and our employees and customers are increasingly being affected by changes in market conditions and technology. To date, we are experiencing a decrease in the number of employees and customers we are able to retain and develop by following the SAP approach. We believe an expected increase in our cost base as the transition to new SAP initiatives shows that our business is likely to remain strong for some time. In addition, future data trends suggest that market forces will continue to influence business decision making over our future operating and administrative performance. At Microsoft, the cost of working with our IT clients is likely to drop and demand for software and services will rise. These changes must be sustained to make our business a safer, more efficient and more accessible place to work.

Risks Related to Globalization

There are significant uncertainties related to our investments in companies located in the G-20 countries, including China and the Middle East. As a result of these, we can not assume 100% certainty about the future. We believe that our risk management programs will continue to have significant impacts on the operating costs of our business, the availability of new products, the growth of our customer base, and the security of our consolidated statements of income and financial condition.

Achieving the Goals of Our Business

We believe our business, which uses data, is in better shape than it was in the past and is rapidly adapting to the changing realities of mobile, data, consumer web, and other emerging technologies. Our success in the business could be a consequence of the changing role of information technology.

We expect that by 2021, our customer base will be up to 60% larger than it has been in the past and that our business model will work better if we continue to focus on making our customers have greater choice and convenience when making decisions about their purchases. If we continue to spend on this new and evolving services, we may result in decreased sales and revenues, or, at the very least, loss of any revenue by our existing customers. Our business model may not succeed if our customer base grows sufficiently to meet the needs of many growth customers.

There are significant trade-offs involved in our business strategy and the evolution of our business, including our ability to build business on our principles. On some issues, we will find solutions to our challenges that do not require us to spend as much as we have. These opportunities include:

* Risk Management;

* Changes in the industry, industry trends and technology, changing business demand for new technologies, new trends, and customer needs and needs within an industry that is evolving slowly

* Changes in technological challenges and economic trends;

* Business practices changes, such as globalization, new industry demographics, shift to newer technologies, changing consumer attitudes, and new business needs; and

* Product quality challenges and service disruption.

In addition, our business may experience a combination of market forces. For example, the growth of other industries such as communications and pharmaceuticals and the rapid shift towards Internet companies may drive more and more customers out of the business world altogether in an effort to focus on our business and other important issues.
