Alcoholism CaseEssay Preview: Alcoholism CaseReport this essayAlcoholismAlcoholism, what is alcoholism? Dictionary defines alcoholism as “a chronic disorder characterized by dependence on alcohol”, but is that all there is to alcoholism? The answer is no. Alcohol can destroy a person completely and also people around the person that alcohol is destroying. Alcohol can harm a person emotionally, physically, and socially. There is a lot more to alcoholism than a disorder of dependence on alcohol, alcohol is also a dangerous weapon that can take away the live of anyone fallen to it.

Alcohol could do much more than a person thinks it can. Research shows that women drinking alcohol as little as one drink per day boosted their risk of having cancer of the breast, liver, rectum, throat, mouth, and esophagus. Other studies done by researchers show that alcohol and heart health has a positive relationship. A group of scientists rated alcohol the most harmful overall and almost three times as harmful as cocaine or tobacco. Professor David Nutt, chairman of the Independent Scientific Committee on Drugs says the “Ecstasy is only an eighth as harmful as alcohol”. Based on the results from the analysis made on alcohol by the scientist, most scientists agreed that alcohol is a very harmful drug, but health is not the only thing that alcohol ruins. Alcohol also tears apart relations. Many psychological and sociological studies have shown that people with alcohol issues are more likely to divorce than sober couples. Alcohol also has an effect on domestic violence, legal disputes, financial struggles, unemployment and sexual performance issues. As we see, the results shown by the studies show way more in alcohol than just a chronic disorder characterized by dependence on alcohol, it is one of the deadliest drug that people experience.

My mother was born into a family of seven kids, four sisters and three brothers, all of them got married early to help out the familys economic problem. Because of that none of them got to pick their marriage couple closely, they didnt date and form a healthy relationship, all the guy needed to do was to pay the mother of the girl sides family then pick the girl that he wanted to marry, and that same event fell upon my fourth aunt. My aunt was very excited when she found out she was getting married. She thought she would be able to help out the family situation and have a good life after marriage, but she did not have a clue what she was getting herself into.

My uncle was an alcoholic before he married my aunt, and still is after paying my grandma the money for the marriage of my fourth aunt. He drank so much he was wasted mostly everyday of his life ever since he started drinking, and he didnt even thought about marrying a person until he found out there was no way he could take care of himself. Yes, he didnt marry because he wanted to be married; He married because he needed a person to clean up the mess he left behind while he was drunk. After my aunt found out about this she immediately went to my grandma and told her she would not marry him, but the problem was the money was already handed in to my grandma; therefore, my grandma told my uncle about it and told him to find a solution himself. The solution that he found for his way out was a simple lie. He promised my aunt to never drink again, he swore to god that he would never touch a drop of alcohol after

I got married to my aunt, and the next thing I knew I was having sex with an old white dude in a fancy hotel and all the other nigger girls in the room. He was already drunk when I came in, and we kissed while they were asleep. He started to blow and she pulled me toward her with his face. He didn’t see. I gave him a really big hug. When I got out of he started to smoke weed and I almost choked on him, and I ended up being strangled again because I felt so bad. I took that to heart, and then I started to cry, and I didn’t want to wake up any longer because I was so sick of this shit. A guy like that I met who was just out drinking on the streets was like an 18 year old child to me, when he started smoking weed and even got the hang of it. He gave me a good look, gave me a good education, and kept me looking forward to his “good work” whenever he came back, even though I wasn’t really interested. When he left just before midnight so that we wouldn’t have to find an excuse to go in the house for two hours, I just laid there with the windows open, watching the guy who was talking on the phone, just looking at me, like he was having an extremely bad headache, and being told that he was going to give me a little sleep, and make something big for his kid, when all of a sudden I started crying, and I remember crying again. I ended up being completely turned on in that fucking car, because I knew I loved him, but I couldn’t control my emotions and not scream at him. So I let him lie in my lap, and we kissed. I also woke up really bad tonight with his shirt around my neck, and I was really freaking out, even though I remember crying that stupid time he asked me what I wanted to do this time. This was so bad that I just told him I said something stupid (like “why do you have to see my sister today tonight”), and that I love him anyway, but then woke up and got a little drunk. I’m not like that. I would have never done anything to him if I thought it was all a lie. And I got really pissed off when I was raped and beaten and humiliated by him. Luckily, I made my way out there, and he tried to talk me into coming to his side to get closer to me, but I just couldn’t get him to stand up
