FORD MOTOR COMPANY

INTRODUCTION
Ford Motor Company, established June 16, 1903 is one of the earliest auto companies, who also started the large-scale manufacturing. Ford symbolizes freedom, toughness, and hope to many Americans. Ford led the industrial process, but since then it has been passed up by several companies. The drop in technology and innovation comes from its’ research and development (R&D) department.

Ford continues to compete in the latest technology race, but only to be outdone by foreign auto manufacturers such as Toyota and Honda. The main U.S based competitor General Motor gives little competition to Ford. The U.S has simply been out matched, and Ford hopes to regain its’ image as leading innovators. The search for this power starts in the R&D department which can also give more incentives than just technology which include manufacturing and taxes. Sustaining strengths will be its keystone in reaching new goals
