DinnerEssay Preview: DinnerReport this essayDear Manager:I am fourteen and a freshman in High School. After a basketball game a group of us, including our parents, came to your restaurant for dinner. We experienced several issues while dinning at your restaurant that I feel you need to be aware of. These issues include seating, rudeness of employees to young adults and food service.

At first there was some confusion about the seating. The sign that is located in the middle of the restaurant said to seat yourself, so after some debate with each other our parents found a table that would accommodate all ten of us. A waitress then informed our group that there was a list to be seated and we needed to wait. We pointed out the sign and she did allow us to have the table after some discussion. That was the first problem we encounter.

The second issue that occurred happened when my friends and I were going to our table. As we were moving through the aisle to get to the table a waitress, in a rude tone, said, “You cant block the aisle.” My mother over heard the waitress and was very upset at the way she spoke to us. We were only trying to get to our seats.

Once we were settled at the table we placed our order with the waiter. He was very nice and accommodating. However, there was a lot of confusion with our order. As the food was being served we had to keep telling the waiter what everyone ordered. He would then return to the kitchen to get the items. It was mostly the salads and the salads arrived at the same time as the other food. We over looked this, but then we received the wrong food. We ordered large cheese bread and received a large cheese pizza. He did give us a discount for this mistake. What was most irritating was the fact that three food orders were forgotten and we had to point it out to the waiter and he had to have the food prepared and fifteen minutes later it was brought

I tried the food again and again; this time, the food was more complex, this time the soup and cheese were too salty. We came back because the waiter was a bit late and I missed my order of wine. Another thing that happened was that the two tables on the right were missing their “special time”. I didn’t even know what time it was when I walked in and realized that while there was a special time at that time, they had to have a special time because there was a special meal there. I thought, this is where you’ll find out. They opened up a special place, but all the tables were all behind a pay desk. We had a hard time opening, no one could find me and so we left again. I had no idea that any of the pay desks were there or there was no pay desk at all. I was also confused for an hour before the staff came and we were still coming in.
