Ride to Pike’s Peek, America’s Mountain
It was a risky train ride to the top of Pike’s Peek, America’s Mountain. As the train moved along the track, beautiful scenes came into sight. Once we reached an elevation of 11, 473 feet, the train came to an abrupt stop. My family and I climbed out, and the view that greeted us was breathtaking! The wind continued to blow, causing my hair to flow in different directions. My father grabbed the camera and we all smiled. In the photo, five different states are visible, along with the surrounding Rocky Mountains. While in Colorado, my family and I went rafting, drove through Estes Park, went speed boating, went on the Royal Gorge, and saw once-in-a-lifetime views.

Two years before my trip to Colorado in 2010, my parents drove us (who?) to the ice rink. My sister and I put our skates on and went on the ice to practice. It was our third ice-show and we both had solos. Soon after, the curtains opened and I skated gracefully to greet the crowd. From the distance, I could see my proud parents smiling at me and motioning for me to smile as well. They took a photo and I began to skate to the tune of the music. This show was among many other performances that I had participated in. My first performance was a dance recital in 2003. In the following years, I have been in other events such as a karate tournament, other dance recitals, piano recitals, many contests, other ice skating shows, and much more! In addition, I participated in sports such as soccer and tennis, created many drawings and paintings that hung–hang in my room, and received numerous trophies. The more events I participated in, the more my parents took photos.

I am really grateful for having wonderful parents. Together, they do so many things for my brother, my sister, and me. We go on extraordinary trips in the United States, Canada, India and other countries. We saw — see many natural wonders, historical buildings and visited amusement parks and famous places. We just had to capture these moments and we did.
