Apa ExampleReflection OneAmanda TorbettEducation 164Dr. HawleyMarch 28, 2016AbstractFor my first reflection for this class, I have learned much this week. There have been classes before that did not impact me in the way that this week’s class did. I will discuss my thoughts on what I learned this week in class and how I will apply it in my life.Reflection One        One of the first things that I learned this week in class would be from a simple quote from values.com, “Can you imagine what I would do if I could do all I can?” What stuck to me the most about this quote was all of the regret that I have had in the past not trying my best in each scenario given to me in my life. This quote makes me realize that I should try my best no matter what the given circumstances are.

Another quote that I could be able to apply in my life would be stated from Valaida Fullwood, “I have a habit of letting my imagination run away from me. It always comes back thoughdrenched with possibilities.” I could relate to this quote because I have a tendency to daydream during the day. This gives me a justification to not be afraid to daydream if it doesn’t distract me from important activities.         Also, another key statement that I made a note to remember would be to be cautious of what you post on social media. There are many employers that will search a potential candidate’s social media when they are trying to determine if that candidate would be suitable for their company. Many jobs have been lost because of what individuals do outside of their work culture. This applies to me heavily because I want to make sure that I am a top choice for an employer seeking a new employee for their company.

FULLWOOD, DAWN, KJ:
Your company is in the midst of hiring a newly hired employee for a full-time, three-year contract. They could very well want to hire you, since it appears that the company would want to attract an up-and-coming candidate this year. Are you being realistic about the future of your company? Or are you trying to come off your best performance this year, or do you need to give your own personal feelings about how the hiring process has gone?
PASTELLA SAKURU:
First, we need to understand the process. In my experience as an employee, we’ve had successful recruitment experiences. This has worked for us. Our initial hiring process in my early to mid-career position is very similar to a successful job advertisement. However, in our second year, we had not hired the right type for that position and we have, in fact, had some struggles recruiting. One of them was the fact that our “first year” recruitee was no longer a good looking person and was much more likely to come off in the interview process. A final factor that may be to be overlooked is the fact that the recruiting process doesn’t allow you to know all of each applicant’s personality traits and goals or that there is any unique reason why they may not be good fit for what you and your company could be in. Your company needs to know from this point on. When evaluating your team and interviewing them over a year, look at the company’s strengths that have helped you to have a successful year, such as: • You have a track record of success in your field
• You have managed at least one year of active site improvement
• Your companies current and future businesses are strong
• You have earned good experience with the industry
• You have a variety of skills which other companies may not
• You have a track record of business that is not sustainable for your company

Second, it is important to understand why you want to be successful in your industry. You’ve been selected by the hiring agency because your position requires flexibility. You have the ability to create a team of people who will work in a specific aspect of your business as well as within that particular area. As you can see, there are many aspects to your position that go well with your qualifications. But what if you did not have those abilities? How will they be used for your needs?
FULLWOOD, DAWN, KJ:
I thought about my job to decide if I wanted to stay in it all, at least for my part through to the future. Now that I am not only in management of my company but also in the finance of my companies, I may decide to find a career outside my current careers and start looking at other career paths. I have some experiences that I want to share about what I consider to be my best opportunities. One of them was a role as a software engineer for a large number of companies. After completing my college degree with a business, I started learning how to code at a high level and soon landed a working internship lined up with other people I knew. I did not have an application to be a director in October, but did work as an engineer and the rest is history. At that point, we had a hiring board (and ultimately was hired and terminated) and it had to be approved. I am interested in having the opportunity to do any of my work outside of my new career and I am eager to try to find a good
