Econ 22Essay Preview: Econ 22Report this essayPaez, Christian Paul V.                  Econ22 4:30-6:00pm TTH               August 2, 2016It is the year 1900. A man ascends the steps to the company. He is looking for a job because he needs to provide for his growing family. He gets one. Approximately one month after, he receives his first pay. He is shocked by the huge cut his personal tax brings. He wonders if his salary can compensate for his family but he cannot do anything about it. He decides to close his eyes and just wait. It is the year 2005. The man’s family continues to grow. He wonders if his salary will ever be enough so he decides yet again to close his eyes. It is now the year 2020. The man has grown old. Upon receiving his salary for the first month of the year, he discovers something. He has more. He laughs in delight, goes home and buys something good for his family. The man’s happiness cannot be contained. It is the year 2500. Business has peaked. Investors are happy, people are happy. The environment in which the people are in and the place where the businesses are situated are safe and secure. Businessmen are comforted by the fact that there is ease in doing business, there are no more bottleneck procedures and that there will be no shady deals happening soon. Everyone is content and living comfortably. It is the year 3900. There are too many people in this world. People are starting to show their animalistic instincts just to survive. There is a huge gap now between the rich and the poor. And the only question the older generation could ask to themselves is, what if?

All of those examples are related to President Duterte’s economic agendas in his SONA last July 25, 2016. The first two I painted in a bright light and the last one in a dark light. As to the first one, I think that it is a great idea since companies and individuals would be able to save more but as to the government’s part, this would mean losses. As to the measures the current administration would take, we shall have to wait and see. The second one is mainly opening the competition, making sure that there will be no more under-the-table deals and securing the environment which would surely result to more investors thus to more income. The last one would be the most controversial one i.e. the strict implementation of the Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Health Law. I certainly agree with this so that couples especially the poor ones would be able to make informed choices on financial and family planning.

Mr Sánchez is just trying to show that this is the right thing to do. We know that all these politicians with a vested interest want to do this but their actions have no real effect if given in the context of the economy.

There is one person from the people who would like to get some answers back to us but it is not like they are coming up with a plan for how they are going to end up. We do not see how the President should address this issue, instead a plan at least has a public health side to it so if you have that plan, then we could have a better outcome. We have heard from business people, they get a chance to come up with a plan and we are going to listen. There are more things to do, but it’s quite clear that this approach is not working.

I am sure that all businesspeople, especially in high tax states, take issue, but it is something which is being dealt with in a very positive way. The president will talk about it in more detail on the telephone before he leaves.

Mr D.N.C.

Mr Duterte

I would like to congratulate President Duterte on opening up the competitive market by making sure they have access to our food. The president has talked about a lot of things, and I believe that there is a great deal of economic change coming together in the Philippines towards this outcome.

Mr Duterte

I thank President Duterte for your call, and he is a leader.

Mr Sánchez

I am pleased that you are doing your work in the Philippines. I hope you do more to protect the environment in that country which has very positive environmental benefits. I will continue to support the environment through public health, in the conservation and development of fish and other aquatic products. One of the more important things is ensuring that there are not too many illegal fishing practices in our country that result in adverse impacts on marine life or fisheries.

The president may use the money of the Congress and of the people to establish a national law enforcement agency, which is also very good for these public health and welfare services in our country. We also need to make sure food is available at fair prices in that country so that as more than 50% of food bought this year in the U.S. is imported to our country, we are making sure we have a comprehensive program to ensure that food is available before, during and after fish and crab fishing. We do need to keep in mind that this legislation will also allow our government to invest funds to improve rural health. I urge that the president takes up your call immediately and we shall begin his work in the next three days including on the environment.

My colleagues, www.federalgovernment.gov, including the members of the Republican staff at the Departments of Agriculture, Defense, Commerce, Justice, Health and Human Services, Finance, and State, call for the following actions: (1) Requiring Federal funds for agriculture, forestry, agribusiness and other activities so that they are used to develop scientific and scientific breakthroughs in land use management. (2) Ensuring the following benefits and protections include: 1) Ensuring rural safety, including reducing fires and other types of fires – that includes reducing the impacts of natural disasters by preventing fire and disease by means of fire retardant and other technologies, including the development and implementation of new technology relating to water quality measurement; and 2) Providing incentives to encourage investments in scientific discovery of new technologies related to land development and public health, such as new methods and strategies related to climate change and water pollution. (3) Supporting rural residents and rural business owners in setting up and promoting productive local businesses.

During 2015 and 2016, we will continue to build on and strengthen local leadership, strengthen existing federal programs as best as we can, and ensure that these efforts lead to better rural safety laws. (4) Protecting farmers and working people working in the communities.

In 2015, we will build on the bipartisan support and coordination needed to ensure the safe, healthy and productive environment in our small towns and small cities that has been vital as a result of our decades of prosperity and innovation, and in the years to come. We will also work with local communities within states and to make sure everyone can get their products safely. We will continue to ensure that families across our country are able to make informed decisions about where, and when, to eat and be able to access the right type of nutritious food.

A strong United States of America is at the heart of our job force of farmers and ranchers. We have grown to be one of the largest farmers and ranchers in the world and we are committed to working closely with the United States of America to ensure the safety, well-being, and well-being of all of our people across this great nation.
(1) Reinstatement of the American Worker Program. The president announced a new set of priorities on the job. These programs will enhance workers’ well-being by improving their compensation, working conditions, safety, health, and safety for both domestic and international workers. These programs will begin in May and continue through at least 2023. These programs will expand our rural workforce by providing workers with the protections and benefits of full time equivalent employment, the right to receive a benefit package under the Fair Labor Standards Act for full-time jobs in the United States, and the ability to retire as an independent retiree. These programs will provide workers with better benefits for retirement. (2)

The EPA and the Environmental Protection Agency have an interesting and disturbing history. The EPA works for nearly every corporation in all 50 states in the United States. It has been part of the EPA for 25 years from 1993-1996, working with the states that provided the agency with a large mandate over their state governments. The EPA has a special responsibility to protect the public health, safety and economy in the United States through its scientific research, and it has done this work over many years. When they worked to regulate chemicals in fish, they did so because their public health concerns did not threaten the stability of their communities or the well-being of their citizens. By doing this in their state legislatures, they were able to enforce their policies of regulating chemicals which are a product of a multi-billion dollar industry, but they had a strong public perception of how dangerous and harmful they were, and this strong perception may have helped contribute to the decline of the U.S. population. Since 1991, over 4 million American people have suffered through a disease as a result of their exposure to these chemicals, and over 200,000 children have died from this disease over their lifetime. Although almost all these children are of Native American or African American origin, we may still face the danger of their future disease spreading quickly through their bodies. We must not forget the environmental impacts of chemicals on our food and our environment. Without an act of Congress and a public health emergency, these chemical companies are still profiting from these unregulated environmental health practices.

Permanent Action: The Trump EPA Reform Act will change the way the EPA works, creates a new EPA and appoint a person to the position of acting administrator. EPA employees will soon hold public benefits, and these benefits will be provided based on their work on human health and the environment. The EPA will also bring the Clean Power Plan to the United States on September 22-23, 2017, under the Clean Air Act that includes a new “reforms and regulations” section in the Environmental Protection Agency legislation. The “reforms and regulations” section will be implemented this fall after the federal coal and gas industries are finalized and finalized through the regulatory overhaul the Republicans are considering. These rules will make it easier for coal and gas companies to export their coal, gas and other fuels to the United States and make it easier to remove any EPA emissions that make them competitive with these high end petroleum and natural gas producers. This will make their coal, gas and other gas more profitable as well as the ability to operate larger refineries with higher capacity and to sell to customers across the country. Additionally, the regulation of fossil fuel production will be put into effect within a reasonable time to ensure that coal and gas companies do not continue exporting their coal, gas and other fuels through the federal pipeline. The legislation seeks to protect the citizens of Washington, Oregon and California but also will support the needs of the community through their public health and environmental protections and will promote and enforce laws that serve the needs of the communities

I’m sorry to start by saying that I have been able to visit family members and friends over the last year and we met some members in business to see that their understanding changes. We agreed immediately with the President, that this is a good start, that you are not an enemy of ours, that your job is more important than the job for your country. We agreed that any country, anytime is better when economic growth begins. Unfortunately, in this country, we already have a number of negative measures on social services, which is why I hope that the time has come to put forward a program to increase the level of living standards for all members of
