I should know this person better than anyone, especially their strengths, weaknesses, and needsI should be able to use this information to develop and manage a healthy relationship characterized by mutual expectations, and meet the most critical needs of the other person.Have you noticed that I am leaving out “work style” and “working relationship?” I need to better understand his work style because I have expected him to adapt to mine.I need to apply that understanding and establish a better working relationship that is totally separate from our personal life.
