First day of high School
The first day of 9th grade I think, is scary for most people. Your in a brand new school, that is bigger, and your also now the youngest one there. On my first day of high school my parents assured me that it wouldnt be as bad as I thought, and not to stress out. Although it wasnt as bad as I assumed, it was much worse than my parents had promised me.

The night before school started in August I was so nervous that I didnt fall asleep until about 3 am. When I got up at 6 I anxiously got all of my things together to make sure I was at the bus stop in time. Thankfully, my neighbor Amanda, who was a junior, waited at the bus stop with me and made me feel better about my first day of high school.

As soon as I got to school I went straight to my locker to put all 6 of my books, and my laptop away, which my mom had insisted that I bring to school. Well, this definitely wasnt my day. I could not get my locker open for the life of me. I listened to the first and second bell ring, as I was still sitting and trying to get my locker open.

I decided that it didnt matter anymore, so I just headed to my Spanish class, late. As I walked in I could feel my face getting bright red. I began to feel even more nervous as I could see of the upperclassmen staring at me as I walk across the room with my huge backpack, and laptop. It made me feel like such a little freshman.

As I went to each one of my classes I began to feel better, because I actually knew people in them. By the end of the day, even though I felt like such a loser because of what happened in first hour, I actually felt ok because it wasnt as bad as I thought it would be. So I guess my parents were right when they said not to worry, and everything would be ok.
