This file contains the latest information on the Encyclopedia of Electronics.
This is version of the Encyclopedia of Electronic Circuits has 1000 electronic circuit schematics. Schematics are viewed with the SuperCAD viewer (VIEW), which is a reduced version of SuperCAD and is designed for faster and simplified operation when used with the Encyclopedia. The Encyclopedia also has the full-up version of SuperCAD for editing schematics as well as other, locked software. There are also on-line manuals for each software package.

To view the schematic for a given circuit topic, first go to the topic by clicking on the name in one of the categories (e.g., RADIO CIRCUITS). Then just click on the VIEW button in the button bar. This will call up the schematic viewer and load the schematic associated with the given topic.

Installation
You have two choices for installing the Encyclopedia:
1) Default (Minimum installation)
This installation requires the smallest amount of disk space (less than 500K) and keeps most of the Encyclopedia files on the CD ROM. This installation is recommended, especially if you have a 4X or greater speed CD ROM drive.

To run the default installation in Windows 3.1, from Program Manager, from the File pull-down menu, select RUN. Type D:install (where ?D? is the letter for your CD-ROM drive) and press the OK button.

In Windows 95, from the Start menu type D:install, where ?D? is the letter for your CD-ROM drive.
2) Maximum installation
This installation may require more than 60Mbytes, depending on the size and type of hard drive you have. On older drives with a minimum record size of 8Kbytes, the disk space required is
