The alternatives investigated are as follows:Sourcing a partner for both basic production & ‘fast fashion’ manufacturingSelecting a country to source a partner for off-shore manufacturingSourcing basic production & ‘fast fashion’ manufacturing separatelyThe alternatives were presented to the Executive Team and April Song recommends that alternative # 2 – ‘Selecting a country to source a partner for off-shore manufacturing’ be implemented on a timeline of one year. The evidence from the Scorecard (Appendix I) determined that Malaysia fulfilled the requirements provided from the Executive Team. Fashion Unlimited will begin sourcing for a factory for off-shore production in Malaysia.
