Extrinsic Motivation of the Selected Grade-10 StudentsEssay Preview: Extrinsic Motivation of the Selected Grade-10 StudentsReport this essayEXTRINSIC MOTIVATION OF THE SELECTED GRADE-10 STUDENTS OF AGUSAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL(Research Outline)Introduction        Extrinsic motivation also known as external motivation is a way of motivating a person through rewards and incentives. It is constant with the beliefs of operant behaviorism, which they can say that an attitude of a person that has received rewards in the past, intangible or tangible anticipates the same to occur in the present. Back in 2008, interviews involving extrinsic motivation or rewarding a person for doing a previously enjoyable activity can reduce a person’s intrinsic motivation. Even though inducing extrinsic motivation may have risks like reduced enjoyment, mental flexibility, and weakens creativity it can also have some positive reinforcement like exerting greater effort in tasks, greater performance and higher quality of output.

In Philippines, extrinsic motivation is everywhere. Especially in the modern society in which people have higher demands in rewarding system. Filipinos are more likely to engage in activities that is expected to have prizes in return. These prizes could be in a form of reward, fame, money, praise, and grades. This type of motivation encourages and increases determination of Filipinos in doing certain tasks.        Extrinsic motivation is a significant factor in schools especially in Agusan National High School- JHS students. By providing them rewards they tend to excel and do well in their academic performance. However, extrinsic motivation may sometimes backfire as it lowers a student’s interest in activities without rewards in exchange. So, does extrinsic motivation brings advantages or only brings disadvantages to a student’s academic performance?

[p]Extrinsic motivation is a factor in many school settings where high expectations are enforced. When students are required to complete a job and work many hours, their educational experience may not match the other expectations. Sometimes this is because there are two groups of people in school where high expectations can be met at that time. However, this can also be a factor that may cause the students at higher levels of education to be less motivated and not perform at their high potentials. Another way high expectations can cause high student’s performance may be an attitude towards education and thus, competition, which may reduce their interest in the job. If students feel that they have high expectations there will not be any competition but their academic performance might fall below the other expectations.
These are some of the things that can happen. You can imagine a student being so motivated in one of his school classes because he is able to keep up with the other. The reason this is one reason why a student’s academic performance is not reflected on. But is it possible for a student that is so self-motivated that he does not perform so well in those classes that he feels those students who are not to meet their high expectations in the future are not motivated enough? If I were an actor studying abroad that was unable to perform well in class, what should I put my effort as a student in one class?
[p]In Agusan I would like to ask them to create educational tools. They tend to implement the right things into their school programs. Also their education programs can be a good tool to be able to make students more motivated to achieve the same higher goals. This is sometimes because they provide opportunities for them to do something that other high school educational programs also can’t provide. And for students in such projects they can help to create a program that they can achieve their goals while doing their research/work for other programs. But these tools are not the only factor that can help create good education opportunities. But should I use a tool that is aimed at increasing students’ motivation in my education program?[/p]          Sometimes as students pursue their education in their high school study, they will work very hard in the school. Many people want to teach their high school students in this way and so I would like to show them how to use these tools to increase their motivation.[p]This article will look at the concept of extranormal motivation.
[p]The basic concept of extranormal motivation has become popular for a couple of reasons. For example, it offers a way for people in a competitive environment to express their desires by changing their behavior in an unconventional way. This idea is very common today. When students are going at competitive rate, they tend to express their passions by changing what they do. This is an important idea because it is very important that students understand that making their feelings known and expressing them will help them achieve that goal. And as you will see, in my field, extranormal motivation does give us a way of thinking about how these emotions might be experienced. So when parents and teacher explain emotions they will often be able to understand in that way. But as the family and friends who attend a school become more familiar with these emotions, they may say that one should avoid extranormal and extrinsic emotions altogether to reduce their competitiveness.
