Human Resource Management is the organisational function that deals with the management, recruitment and other issues related to an organisations employees, such as organisation development, training, communication, benefits, safety, employee motivation, wellness, performance, administration, and compensation.

Entering the world of work.
Do a job analysis to determine the requirements of different jobs within the organisation.
Recruit the people the organisation needs to meet whatever goals they have set for themselves.
Select and employ workers to fill jobs required in the organisation.
Orientate new workers, by showing them around the organisation and telling them how things are done in the organisation.
Growing in the world of work.
Identify areas suffering from lack of knowledge or insufficient training and thus provide corrective measures in the form of seminars and workshops.
Design appraising systems for employees performances.
Assist employees with career development plans.
Rewards and rules at work.
Design and implement compensation and benefit systems for all employees.
Design new operating practices that minimize risks and are healthy for the human resource manager employees.
Develop positive relations between employees, management and employee representatives.
Create constructive ways of dealing with discipline and grievance issues.
1.3 External environmental factors are factors that affect the way an organisation manages its employees, from outside the organisation itself. These external environmental factors are the political, economic, technological and social environments.

Political Environmental Factors
The state of national politics and legislation have a major role in how organisations function in the country, as political climate determine whether an organisation can or cannot recruit or employ.

Economic Environmental Factors
As economic factors show how a country uses its resource to produce wealth, these factors depict the countrys state of employment, productivity, competitiveness, etc. poor economic conditions in most cases lead to a freeze in recruitment or even downsizing, as organisations may cut down on Human Resources to decrease outflow in the form of wages and salaries.

Technological Environmental Factors
Technological advances have led to many job losses as computers are able to do three peoples jobs at once, increasing the rate of productivity, but reducing the need of certain personnel in their respective jobs. The constant advances in technology also mean that people need to constantly learn new skills or challenge with being outdated or useless in their field.

Social Environmental Factors
Social factors have to do with the culture, values and norms of society. As our country has a history
