During my senior year of high school I was really looking forward to go to Penn State. It was not just for my education, but it was because of Penn State football. I had never been to the stadium, but I heard the experience compared to nothing else. I remember it like my I remember my first car. Going to my first Penn State football game was quite an experience for me, and I will never forget it.
As I entered the stadium, it felt like I was entering the Roman Coliseum in ancient times. I got behind the extended line of people waiting to get through the gate. The line seemed to be everlasting. As I anxiously waited to get inside, I noticed the energetic, spirited home crowd. As always it was a big showdown and the stadium filled in with crazed fans. The fans wore their school colors proudly; it was like a sea of blue and white. Most wore bright white shirts or navy blue shirts. They showed so much support and love for their team. Some other really intense fans painted blue or white on their faces and bodies. It reminded me of the Indians and how they got ready for war. A lot even went as far as dying their hair blue and white. The crowd was amazing and was full of life.
I walked up the stairs, trying to find my gate for my seat but this was like finding a needle in a haystack. As I walked to my seat I noticed everything, the sights, the sounds, and even the aura. It was an extraordinary sight. So many people were in the crowd. I was in amazement because it had been my first college football game and I didnt know what to expect. I expected to see gladiators fighting lions.
The pre game began, and the Penn State players ran through the field. The crowd went crazy even in pre-game. It seemed as if we had just scored a touchdown.
