Moving into a New WorldMoving into a new world deals with the aspects of growing up or transition to a new phase of life. People encounter different experiences and respond to them individually. Wily Russells play “Educating Rita” examines the fundamental questions of what the purpose of education is and where it can lead. Through the exchange of Frank and Rita, Russell raises the issues of individuality and conformity, choice and knowledge. This essay through close and detailed reference to “Educating Rita”, Hunter S. Thompsons letters in “The Proud Highway” and “The Truman Show” will discuss how moving into the new world is a decision that presents both opportunity and risk.

I hope that you enjoy this great article! I have learned a lot and will continue to learn in education. As you can see, this is a long series of articles. As you can see, some of the concepts in both article and book may have been familiar to the common reader before we started reading the book and there is no doubt in my mind that this is also one of the most difficult topics at this point in my life. This series of articles will address a number of topics including, among others, How to approach your children at school, How to teach them how to relate to others and How to be a good parent. This article could have been written many time ago and will be much less frequent and require you to complete every few years. But, while I did have some time in the past, I do regret to note that I did not plan a course in public accounting for the cost involved in running my small ($2,500) business or attending a college. When I was in junior high, I did not plan for the financial overhead to be a major factor in my decision to leave school and I would like to stress that after spending so much time in a college world, I have to admit I am glad that I did and I would like nothing better than to stay on this earth. Please be glad you do too. So, with that in mind we go! I hope you have all enjoyed reading this awesome book. I am sure you have enjoyed listening to the radio podcasts and listening to the talk radio programs. I will update my website once I have the time to do a further one. Thank you for reading and I will see you over the next couple of weeks so please keep it up! Thank you so much for checking out my work and looking at my site every day. 🙂

Rita is dissatisfied because she is limited by the barriers of his current world in which is not acceptable to seek education. This causes Rita to acquire the motivation and seek a new world. Ritas sense of emptiness in her current existence is apparent “See if Id started takin school seriously, I would have had to become different from me mates, thats not allowed”. Franks room represents the new world that Rita wants to enter. Rita is so eager to change worlds that she will embrace change for its own sake without assessing whether that change will truly represent her. Franks room is a reflection of his personality. Thus if Rita were to have the same room it would be ‘phoney because because it would not reflect her personality. Rita describes a feeling of alienation, staying in the same world is acceptable, but moving into a new world is not.
