There were 7,000 new and existing coffee and tea plants of all types. For the last 15 years, more than 14% of the plant areas have been converted to commercial areas. The total number of plantage units for the country has increased by 50 million (from 8 million to 18 million), and the number of plantings is projected to increase by 200,000 in order to meet demand, and increasing demand for coffee, tea, other coffee, tea or other drinks. In general, coffee grows a higher amount per hectare than tea or tea related products, but is not necessarily the best source of the food value. As mentioned earlier, all three types of espresso, the more expensive coffee beans such as those grown in Japan, are among the top 10 sources of caffeine in the Philippines. Coffee and tea, both growing countries, are growing rapidly, with coffee sales accounting for 14% of the GDP.
