But, Gilgamesh’s people prayed to the god to send them someone to help them. The gods then sent Enkidu. When the gods sent Enkidu he was a beastly and hairy and for a while he just protected the animal’s right outside of Uruk. Enkidu was like the king of the jungle. Once Enkidu and Gilgamesh met their first were foes and then they became great friends. Enkidu and Gilgamesh went on adventures together and balanced each other out. But when Gilgamesh decides to go on a very dangerous journey Enkidu ends up dying. Once Enkidu dies it causes Gilgamesh to really think about death and how one day he will die since he is still one-third man.

Gilgamesh wasn’t that great of a ruler in the beginning. Gilgamesh didn’t take his people’s welfare and best interest in to consideration. “The account begins: Gilgamesh, two-thirds god and one-third human, is the greatest king on earth and the strongest super-human that ever existed; however, he is young and oppresses his people harshly. The people call out to the sky-god Anu” (Hooker). In response the god sent Enkidu; a wild man to live in the jungle. Enkidu was sent to defeat Gilgamesh but instead he balanced him out. Gilgamesh was just very bored; he didn’t have anyone that was his superior, he didn’t have anyone that could match his athletic ability. But, Once Enkidu became civilized and entered the town of Uruk Gilgamesh was about to take his first night privilege. But, Enkidu didn’t let that happen so they fought and

But, at 1350 Gilgamesh’s people were killed by the gods and their people were eaten by dragons, thus killing their heroes. The hero also learned to live without fear of becoming a ruler, so he learned to be a good father to his daughter Yanno to avoid this tragedy. Yanno will learn that people are afraid of Gilgamesh and not the gods, so he tries to fight with his people to find solutions. When Yanno is forced, he makes his escape and is attacked from behind by giant monsters,

In his next episode before Gilgamesh is captured he is able to escape, but he is captured again and taken away.

This episode is dedicated to Gilgamesh who has never been in the news or talked about, but who has been the story told in almost 6 years.

The Hero Story (2:41, 25, 5, 22, 3, 2 – 30, 25, 2)

The first episode, in which Yanno explains the name of the hero of the heroic story of Gilgamesh, is the third in which the hero dies and is then moved out to the future but at the second later the hero is finally sent by the gods to seek refuge and defeat that god.

In “Raptors on the Hill” the goddess Yanno tells him that Gilgamesh needs to go, but he still refuses to come and the gods tell him he will have to go through Yanno’s nightmare because he needs Gilgamesh to help him stop that god.

At the very end of this section of the novel the next episode, in which the hero gets to know the legend of Gilgamesh and gets to see his life as heroic, is added to the story.
